I’ve just been to visit my uncle this morning and he’s given me a gift . These were my grandads clippers and have been stored in his shed for 30 years :)

i never met my grandad as he died when I was a baby and I’m now 37.

Anyone know any history on these please. All I know is they are solingen made in Germany and looking on google it says 1940.

My grandad worked in the pits since the 1930’s

My old Mum, bless her, who sadly died at the young age of 55, when I was 18, was a hairdresser and worked from home. She had a pair identical to those and was still using them in the early 60s before she became ill, so I guess they were at least 20 years old then.

Wish I still had them, so hang onto them in remembrance of your old Grandad.  Something personal like that is so personal and irreplaceable.

I’m over the moon I’ve been trusted with them . My uncle got his cinny film out last year on my grandparents. My dad was 17 and now 67 . The syndicate I joined a few years back is where my dad used to fish with my grandad. I knew it would upset him but I could see his memory’s going over time which was nice

Who's the hairdresser? The one with the cack haircut 🤣😁

The old barber when I was a kid used them until he retired and his son took over and went electric. Must have been hell on the hands. A definite knack to using them. Team Tractor please post up a picture of you cat when you try them on it and your ensuing trip to A & E when it savages you lol.

Great bit of sentimentality for you.
