panoma1
Well it seems that Chuka is now a Lib Dem MP! It shows he is not in it for public service reasons, but he is a mercenary, a career politician, it's a job! Why else would he flit through various political party's until he found another home? It's seems he has now morphed into a Lib Dem convert.......if he had a shred of integrity he would stand down and test whether his constituents wanted him/a Lib Dem MP in a by election! No wonder most people despise politicians.
Raja Clavata
Hardly a surprise he's gone Lib Dem. Whilst the details of what he has done justifiably upsets some, if you look at the big picture then I believe he can be forgiven. As a person and a politician I like him a lot more than most of the rest.
JDog
Three different parties in a few months. This must be a record surely?

But it's not the same. Imagine joining a football club and then roll up for the first training session only to find they actually play cricket... That would be be contrary to the trade description act! Lol! They sit between Labour and Conservatives and as well as their remainer position this is one of the reasons they've done OK recently. I would imagine it's roughly equal thirds across the spectrum right now, the lefties have gone more left and the mild right have gone harder right. We need middle ground and it's the right, sorry correct, place for Chuka to be.
Gordon R
The Lib Dems don't know their own place. They pick up issues which they think might be popular at that time and come up with an impractical solution. Their current semi popularity will not be reflected in a General Election. hedge
The Lib Dems are the traditional protest vote party. IMO - they are doing so well this time because BOTH Labour and Tory's are in the doghouse with the electorate. They befriend the disaffected and position themselves accordingly. The European elections were effectviely a freebie, so it would be interesting in a GE to see if the voters actually put their money on them. I don't agree with you, it's all about perspective and I reckon suggesting right is the same is a bit distorted. The calls of each being extreme by the other is one of the few consistencies. Chuka will do whats best for Chuka, he would go extreme left OR right if he thought it would serve him. The libs are the only people that will have him at the moment, as its plainly obvious he is self serving, he is with the right people now.
