AVB
I went to the beach today. Nowhere exotic just Frinton in Essex. It was relatively quiet but I took a photo that shows the trick that the papers use so that they can scream about ‘overcrowding’. This photo makes it look like it was rammed. It wasn’t and every group was socially distanced.

Capt Christopher Jones
This is how the Cloggies do it, all well organised with cafe`s too https://www.webcamtaxi.com/en/netherlands/south-holland/hoek-van-holland-beach.html
Walker570
Some of the airial shots don't lie though do they. Not as I have a problem with people enjoying themselves if they want to, more grease to their elbows. Not my scene.

Vince Green
We have a private beach near us in Cornwall. It costs £100 a year for the key but the whole family can use it. Edited August 12, 2020 by Vince Green

The farmer put up a gate and you can hire a key for £100. It keeps the hoards out. Its like a club a lot of people go there to swim every day and there are quite a few who swim in the buff . Can it be accessed from along the neighbouring beach at low tide?

Today there are several "secret" coves south of Mevagissy that would be hard to find if you didn't know where to look. The only thing I find a bit worrying about them is poor phone signal Edited August 14, 2020 by Vince Green
treetree
Probably for the best; I'm further west along the coast from you, and often hear of tourists cut off when they've been able to walk around from more accessible beaches, such as Porthcurno to Pedn Vounder

Jim Neal
I've been to Rhyl, beautiful part of Wales. Last day I was at Dyserth community hall for something and I was leaving for home from there. I decided rather than go the boring way I'd go the "scenic route" back to the N Wales Expressway, up the Cwm Road. Looked great on the map. In reality, a cart track up a mountain which isn't fun in a 3.5 ton transit with oncoming traffic 😯

And i was chasing the sheep, but gave up after 50 yards, ran out of breath not much good if i;d have caught up with it.
