Ultrastu
To give balance . My chrony f1 .was less useful than a house brick..i fact i think a house brick would have given me more infomation if id shot over it than the f1 . London Best
Chrony are very good. Use my Alpha model for air guns, rimfire, centre fires, shotguns. No problems but doesn’t like bright sunshine.

Ultrastu
The internet is loaded with chrony f1 problems .i ignored them and bought one .only to find i had exactly ALL the issues ever talked about . I would get a calwell ballistic chrono graph .if u can find one .but im personally not to bothered about chono graphing shot guns .as it seems a waste of time to me due to the very low bcs involved in smll lead balls the pellets tend to all be around the same speed at effective hunting distances . Unless your muzzle velocites are 500 fps different . But thats only my opionion .
sitsinhedges
There's always one. I've used various chrony f1's over probably thirty years. They can be light sensitive for airgun pellets but are generally very good and are certainly the best bang for your buck over any others. figgy
I use a Chrony F1 to test my steel Wildfowling loads and it works fine.
Remimax
Had my F1 a fair while and it works on everything i've thrown thru it.

I run a Caldwell chronograph It can be a bit sensitive to sunlight and cloud on times but I test all my shotgun and rifle loads on mine does What it says on the tin as they say but i do like it though easy to use and operate
Guest cookoff013
Chronograph is not great for shotgun loads. Dont compare test data to your reloads.
swan40
I have bought a chrony f1 just waiting to have a test will see how it goes -- thanks to all who advised
rbrowning2
Got a magneospeed V3 great for rifle, gave up trying to make it work with shotgun, may be just me not configuring it correctly? , so would not recommend it for shotgun.
