Salopian
Is it me missing the point or have we gone mad and have more money than sense? Pheasant Shooting at £3500 per peg and now I have seen Pigeon Shooting at £250 a day per person plus £2-50 per shot fired maximum of 300 shots per day equals £1000 per day for Pigeon Shooting plus cartridges plus fuel to drive to the venue and back . Keep it up Boys , soon we will not need legislation to stop us shooting .

eggy74
it is getting silly, unfortunately where i live all the shooting land is sewn up, so i have to pay for my pigeon shooting. £360 for the year, but that gives me anytime access to 1500 acres of arable land and 6 small woods (outside of the pheasant season). the biggest downside is this land is 50 miles from where i live. i contacted a shoot closer to home (10 miles away)who are offering single days, and they said £65 a day to sit in a hide, which i thought was steep but then they went on to say + £1 per shot!!! *** *******

If you go to talk from the field there is a video from Guns on Pegs it shows it all there. Edited November 29, 2020 by B725

clangerman
no excuse to pay these blood suckers if you can spare time to shoot you can spare time to find a perm
The Mighty Prawn
How the hell can they justify charging you per shot? Surely the only way that makes sense is if they provide the carts but even then it’s got to be about 20p max?
Rossco89
I have never heard of charging per shot taken after an initial payment. Madness.
Fellside
Agree. Greed rears its ugly head sometimes in shooting - as it does in all walks of life. This is a prime example. There is a thread already re this topic in the ‘Talk From The Field’ section’ by the way. I’m not technical enough to link you through.....?!
