Smokersmith
Right … voting is open ... Who’s your money on? Tom has a heart tugging story. Fury is a legend, and the young Emma will have a strong following through tennis.

I've voted for Raducanu, but it was a toss up between her and Fury - and I'm not sure those two have ever been head to head before! Reason? Raducanu did something that no one has ever done before and it was extraordinary. She got a lot of criticism from dopey ex-pros (McEnroe particularly) for mentally falling apart at Wimbledon, so to come back and go through 10 matches, three in qualifying, without losing a set and to play great tennis in the process is the standout achievement of the year. I'm saving my Fury vote for when he becomes undisputed champ and beats Joshua.

Smokersmith
I voted for Tom .. It seemed like the waves parted for Emma, and she walked through. Tom beat some ridiculously good Chinese(albeit as a pair), and under the pressure of being at the last chance saloon. 4 minutes ago, ditchman said: max verstappen He’ll ram raid it off the winner on the way home. Mice!
I'm disappointed that Kevin Sinfield only got a mention, just his 24hr run, what he's done and achieved deserved more.

Tear jerking montage of all the stars we've lost this year. Some very young ones in there too.

I'm hoping Joshua beats Usyk so we get that superfight between two Brits for all belts. Then crown the winner SPOTY. Unless Raducanu becomes the first person since Steffi Graf to complete The Grand Slam...
Walker570
I don't really care one way or the other BUT the word PERSONALITY stands front and centre in my view of the award. Young Emma has that and has shone through all of the negativity and brickbats thrown at her in the last twelve months and has PERSONALITY. These awards are akin to Knighthoods these days and from my angle have no significance most of the time.

He did win them in a fight, he took all the titles from wlad, before going off the rails and being stripped of them due to inactivity, he then took the remaining title from wilder. So he has sort of already become the undisputed champion anyway.

Had he beaten Joshua (or Usyk) this year as well to put all the belts together in 2021, he'd have got my vote this year

But like I said, he's already done enough to be undisputed heavyweight champ. Caused one of the biggest upsets in boxing, beaten some of the best in his era, got up from the most incredible knockout, one of the greatest comebacks after beating mental health issues and one of the most entertaining and biggest personalitys you could ever see. What else could he do? But of course he doesn't fit in with woke politics!
