Yazmin
How can I remove Sandtex off a plastered wall.?I have tried steaming it off but its to much and doesn’t really work and the plaster underneath has cracked.Help would be very much appreciated
ditchman
isnt sandtex a cement/lime based paint...almost like a cement grout........if you try and steam it all it will do is trap the steam in the plaster and blow it out....i think you might be looking ata scabble gun and then a plaster skin.....?....or just a skim over it
Agriv8
I would look at Industrial wall sander but will require room clearing! get a quote from a plasterer to skim it and hide it Agriv8

Dougy
The quickest and neatest way i think would take it back to brick, lath and plaster board and while your at it insulate then skim over. I spent far too long trying to get rubbish artex off walls.

It sounds as though its a beggar to get off.
7daysinaweek
Sandtex is the Devils paint of choice. Once applied it ain't ever coming off. I speak from experience. As Argiv8 recommendation, ask a plasterer, lest you end up with air that surrounds you being BLUE! Agriv8
If you manage to get it off the wall may need a skim anyway! Agriv8
