With so little salmon being caught I doubt the anglers would miss it.

but i totally agree with your comments, they are a bunch of idiots and seem to be well out of touch.

Agreed, that's not the point though. Angling is not the problem.

When that minister stated that in this day and age we ‘shouldn’t be killing things for sport’ regarding driven game shooting, I wondered why angling hadn’t been included.
Now it has, but by her logic ALL fishing for sport, ( not just for salmon ) has to be banned.

If 1 does no

If 100 does no

If 1000 do maybe

If 10000 do defo

If 100,000 well you get my drift

Nope, not with the Welsh Government.

There has been a massive reaction to the proposed blanket 20mph speed limits in Wales, enough so that a petition held by the Senedd was established. The petition quite quickly surpassed the required amount of signatures to be debated within the Senedd, over twice that in fact, before it was closed early for debate.

Having read the transcript of the debate it is quite obvious that the Senedd had no intention of discussing anything other than the fact that the petition had taken place and to note this fact.

No debate took place surrounding the validity of the imposing the of limit or whether or not the Senedd should take another look at it considering the widespread disagreement of the public and vote for a second time.

In short - 'Do whatever the **** you like with petitions and all that ********, we've made a decision without any form of consultation with the public and we're sticking with it whether you plebs like it or not'

They will simply ignore it, 42 thousand people signed a petition for our hospital not to be downgraded, they took it and just went ahead, thousands have signed the petition to stop the new 20mph limit, they have ignored it.
Dripfords government will just do exactly what they want as shown time and time again, they ignore petitions consultations and protests.

Unfortunatly there are parts of Wales that will go to the polls and vote for anything with a red rossette on.

Never a truer word said.....

Devolution has let outright Socialism creep into the British Isles and that is bleeding across the borders into England. Don't forget, Starmer has held up Wales as a beacon of how a labour government would be in the UK - Mind you the current Conservatives in the UK are as socialist as Labour nowadays.

The powers that have been handed to these devolved areas are too much - in fact the Emergencies Act that was granted in the Couf times needs to be stripped away from all areas of government - as they only need to tag the word "Emergency" onto anything to give them carte blanche to do with whatever they want.

Indeed, I heard a new one on the "Sharp End" (if you think QT is biased (it is) you should see this Welsh Politics programme) where a Plaid Cymru AM (I won't use the S word) used the phrase "Climate and Nature Emergency" and I suspect that this will creep into a lot of things first in Wales then across the UK - especially in relation to farming - and the removal of farms for re-wilding and protecting (in other words the plebs won't be allowed in the countryside).

Don't forget PC are in government with Labour in Wales.

Indeed, and that is the worry for those of us that angle, too.

Welsh Assembly is worse than the puritans of old - they want to ban everything.....

I just wish people in Wales (I live there) would wake up to what is going on - It is the proverbial "The lunatics have taken over the asylum"

It's maybe part of the overall plan for all of the asylums to have been taken over by the lunatics?

The Senedd is a place for those who pretend to have an education and intelligence but would struggle in an other real world job that doesn't involve asking 'Do you want fries with that?'. I would doubt that they have thought that far ahead and just see Fieldsports = Bad and must be banned.

Once that's done they'll move onto the next thing that a teen with blue hair and hairy armpits has tweeted at them.

Next on the agenda will be farming and compulsory purchasing of massive amounts of farmland which will be handed over to trusts to plant trees or start Llama walking businesses. After that will be anything involving motors, noise or any slight inconvenience to anyone. Motor racing, Moto X, clay pigeon shooting, target shooting, mountain biking, green laning etc. It will all go because the Welsh gov seems to be focused solely on what a very vocal minority screams at them on social media.
