sky gipsy
Just back from the local market in Normandy and going to have a dozen oysters for lunch. These special No3's are some of the best I've ever eaten. They cost 8 Euro 50, (£7.29) a dozen.
TIGHTCHOKE
Very nice, are you having them with a nice dark French Stout or Porter?

CaptC
Falmouth oyster business is dying here, the sea is badly polluted. Generations of traditional oyster trawling gone! Thanks to Turnip Coffey and the DE.

London Best
The first guy to open one and think, “Wow! I’m going to eat that,” must have been really hungry.
yates
Looks good sky G. Bloody good price too. Saw some small ones at Doncaster fish market on Saturday morning that were £2.00 each. We normally get ours delivered from Lindisfarne for a fantastic price if you order over
samboy
I might have one if i'm at the fish stall but they don't do a lot for me plus i always think i'm going to be ill after eating it.

ditchman
the closest ive ever been to sampling an oyster....is waking up in the morning...having a fag and a cup of tea on a really phlemy chest ....having a good cough....rolling a large gobbit of phlem aroind and letting it go in the kitchen sink and that is all done without a squeeze of lemon...or a lardi-da glass of porter oysters start off as cute little mollusqes......that get and infection on their chest and spend the next 7 years coughing up gunk into their shell until someone comes along cuts them open and gobbles them all up its the chinese/ british equivilent of corvid bat soup
