Gerry78
Coming down to my last slab of Gamebore blue diamond’s which I have used for trap and sporting clays I’ve personally found them to be a fantastic cartridge Unfortunately The company has stopped making them Wanted to ask the forum for alternatives Tried fiocchi but found them to be thumpy There’s only 1 shop here in Northern Ireland that deals Hulls so haven’t had the opportunity to drive to the shop to try them

TOPGUN749
Try some Cheddites! Various loads available,21 grams is enough for most clays.

TIGHTCHOKE
Let's look at it from the other direction; What can you get locally and will be able to get repeatedly. Work out the best cartridge for the job from that list. Are you in the position to buy and store in bulk?

Gerry78
Thanks for the replies I’ve been advised by the gunsmith that the white gold is very similar to the blue diamond so I will buy some just to try Is the white gold the brand that Mr Digweed uses (not that I’m anywhere near he’s level 😃) ??? BobbyH
When it comes to cartridges, can anyone really tell a difference between brands and makes? For example, if i was to load a White Gold 28gram into a top barrel and a FBlack 28gram into the bottom (Both choked the same), would you be able to tell the difference when the trigger is pulled? I did a post about cheap vs expensive ammo, is it really worth the price difference?

Bobby the reason I bought a lot of blue diamond was that they were more comfortable to shoot Now this is just my opinion

Windswept
3 hours ago, BobbyH said: When it comes to cartridges, can anyone really tell a difference between brands and makes? I expect some people could, depending on cartridges. I can certainly tell the difference in in some powders pushing a same bullet at a same speed out of a rifle. Some cheap carts may use less of a faster burning powder to achieve the same speed of shot as another that uses more of a slower burning, so more expensive. Some powders behave differently than others and some carts may push the lead faster. These things can affect recoil so some might notice, some might not. Why not try a few boxes of this and that before committing to a bulk purchase.
mpmilo
Ive always found Hull sporting 100s soft in the shoulder, But by far the smoothest Hull catridges I have ever shot are the DTL300 if you can get them to try.
