Why does this TRAGIC event require an "Investigation"?

Police have to investigate the circumstances of any unexpected or suspicious death to establish the facts for presentation to the coroner.

Shouldn't be a very long investigation then.

My point, that I should have made clearer, is that a dog killing its owner inside his property is pretty conclusive

Clearly you don't watch enough Midsummer Murders or you would know 😁

Seriously though, clear cut or not it all has to be put down on paper for the inquest. Chapter and verse.

They will have to establish the dogs history. Has it been aggressive before?

Has it been used for fighting? Had it been given anything to enhance its performance? They give dogs all sorts of things like steroids  etc to make them fight better if it was a fighting dog

It all has to be checked. After all why was he keeping a dog like that in the first place?

How many deaths caused by these dogs this year, now, 4, 5?

Is that right? That's an horrific statistic.  It's not so long ago that the dangerous animals act was introduced to stop people keeping Lions and the like as pets.

Yes like the village of Pontipandy, something catches fire there every week.

Lucky they have got Fireman Sam or they would be in real trouble

But a lot of the people who kept panthers etc as pets

(and there were more than anyone realised)

turned them loose when the law changed

They are still wandering the British countryside now. Another non native invasive species.
