Worth their weight in gold IMO,you should get a good one for around £40 but you need a decent power pack around 25000mah, such a battery (£20 ish) will keep you warm all day.

got any links?

I paid only £15 for the heated gilet I have. Power pack was £25 if I recall correctly. I wear it for sitting up high seats before it gets light in Winter. Had it two winters.
The gilet is SO warm I have never yet needed to switch on the power!

I would be very interested to get a honest opinion how they preform old'un, today standing about I was cold till after we had 11s and then I did warm up a bit , it wasn't freezing cold or anything it was just one of those raw days , just seen next week weather and it could be Wintery showers from mid week onwards around here so it look like two jumpers on next week and the heating will be going on earlier in the day , I will do my best not to die of the cold , :lol:

Hello, Note on these Chinese made body warmers sometimes the Sizes are not same as UK, I remember Bruno mentioned before and I needed large but It seemed like medium so I bought the XL  off Ebay, That lasted a few years until it stopped working, The one I have now from UK supplier is right size and heats up well , free power pack and i bought a spare, 2nd Winter use

Well that was quick, delivery was for Wednesday but it arrived Saturday at 10.30am.

Finding so far, my chest measures 45” so ordered the XL, its a little snug but not tight, might need the XXL? it has 3 settings low/medium/high, after charging the battery I set it on high and the heat from the gilet is very good, the collar is also heated and keeps the back of your neck nice and warm.

Points I would make are...this is a micro fleece gilet inside and out, the fleece acts a little bit like valcro causing a bit of drag on the lining of my shooting coat and also against my sweat shirt and feels a bit odd when swinging the gun, don't know if a bigger size would help, with regards fit, form what I understand these should be worn with a lightish/thin shirt so the heating pads are close to your body as possible.

I will be returning the gilet as when swinging the gun it feels a bit restrictive but for everyday wear it would be fine.

Think I will look again but for something that will cause less drag between clothing.

Not that I have felt the need for one, but a non fleece verison would be more suitable, if available.

THANKS for the update , a very quick delivery and sounds like the gilet will be trial and error for the time being .

We now know the lazy , hazy days of Summer are now just a distant memory and the cold , raw days of Winter are now with us for the next couple of months or so , I now know that even though my mind say I can stick the cold my body speak the truth and nowadays it certainly feel it , this morning it was about three degrees in my motor , raining fairly hard with a strong cold wind blowing straight off the North sea , I would had gone on a shoot today but it would not had been one of those enjoyable days like we had last Saturday when the weather was cold but it stayed dry , also , unlike one of regular posters from Essex , today I would have had very little interest what time the Pigeons were feeding and like the Pigeons I fed in my back garden this morning , they could feed to there hearts content  with very little , or no disturbance from me :lol:

You raise some interesting points;

I have found difficulty on getting anything made for a Chinaman to fit accurately as their comparative size guides are way off.

The drag you mention is certainly a valid consideration as you must be comfortable when shooting, as you say for ordinary use it would probably be fine.

I shall have a look around and see whether I will part with my hard earned for one of these heated gilets.

The £15 el cheapo heated gilet which I bought is just the opposite and very slippy.
I think it would be ideal under a shooting coat, but must admit that I have never tried it.
