BobbyH Posted Sunday at 18:05 Report Share Posted Sunday at 18:05 I have seen videos of it, looked good if you want to buy the brand new stuff and that. But not for me sadly, I’m a fan of the second hand market and cheap/free guns that need alot of TLC
ryle Posted Sunday at 18:35 Report Share Posted Sunday at 18:35 Inwas tempted but personally felt the entry was a tad dear plus I know I'll end up spending too much ontop of that ha ha Hope it was a blast for all that went
shootgun Posted Sunday at 19:08 Report Share Posted Sunday at 19:08 Been today and it was poor IMHO ... However, i got a cracking deal on a Zeiss V8, £650 off plus a free flip up cover worth £120 and a Yeti mug...
Sempers Posted Sunday at 19:11 Report Share Posted Sunday at 19:11 Free Yeti mug covers the entry fee!
8 shot Posted Sunday at 20:00 Report Share Posted Sunday at 20:00 Didn't go due to the price. LAMMA the agricultural machinery show at the NEC had/has free entry, just pre book your tickets. Also thought the Game fair at Blenheim was the worst i'd been to
countryman Posted Sunday at 20:00 Report Share Posted Sunday at 20:00 I went on Saturday, I thought it was a good show except the car park which seemed a long way from the event in the wet and cold, loads of empty parking a lot nearer but for some reason wasn’t used. So he is not impressed. We didn't goto the NEC this weekend as nothing on shopping list and didn't fancy the entry fee this year. But normally have a good day out there. shooterman49 Posted Sunday at 20:07 Report Share Posted Sunday at 20:07 Went on Saturday . Expensive to get in and food and drink was expensive also. Despite that really enjoyed the show.

I bought one on the day, the sheath is too narrow and I've gone through it multiple times got told a new one would be sent to me. Nothing. Been using a different sheath that the knife fits ever since... 18 hours ago, shooterman49 said: Went on Saturday . Expensive to get in and food and drink was expensive also. Vince Green Posted Tuesday at 12:36 Report Share Posted Tuesday at 12:36 From the other point of view, my friend used to have stands at a lot of Arms Fairs but says the fees have gone silly now. So much so that he says it's hardly worth doing them because the visitors are not spending money. Just browsing and asking a lot of questions. Salop Matt Posted Thursday at 16:38 Report Share Posted Thursday at 16:38 I worked all three days and enjoyed it. It’s once a year and is inside the warm and dry. £35 wouldn’t get you the biggest round in at the pub either nor many rounds of clays. If we don’t go to these events why would retailers and exhibitors ! We also couldn’t complain if it stopped and we had no where to go. Personally I did a load of shopping and possibly spent circa £800 and was / is a very happy chappie 👍🏻

stumfelter Posted Thursday at 20:16 Report Share Posted Thursday at 20:16 I went to the British fly fishing show at Stafford showground a couple of weeks ago, three halls packed with plenty of stalls with bargain buys, talks and shows to watch, fly tyers to talk to and watch in action all for the sum of £13 (pre booked ticket.) If this show (which was brilliant) can be ran for such a price how can they warrant £35! Used to enjoy the Chatsworth game fair but now it's all hot tubs, garden furniture etc.

Genghis Posted Thursday at 20:43 Report Share Posted Thursday at 20:43 I enjoyed it. It was much nicer in the afternoon when much of the footfall had gone home. A lot of slow walkers were about in the morning.
Dougy Posted Thursday at 20:58 Report Share Posted Thursday at 20:58 This is no mud chucking post but rather a question that i am sure is not just on my lips, why is the entry fee so much higher for this show than other shows at the NEC, eg Camping and Caravan show entry was £13, This is what is killing the shows, no small RFD retailer has been able to afford to go to these shows for many many years. Unsure if this forms part of the answer but possibly public liability insurance, due to the products on sale. But only the organisers of the show can answer that 100%

Hey ho, stalking show for me see whats there.
