Peter De La Mare
Yup, ME did exactly that actually, smoked the first three pairs then starting missing singles and whole pairs. On two stands I shot the first 5 pairs straight only to miss the last pair. Quite annoying actually, 4 birds lost for no good reason. ME
Yup, ME did exactly that actually, smoked the first three pairs then starting missing singles and whole pairs. I lost the will to live on some of the stands. Getting an email of complaint on my Blackberry from my biggest customer in between stands always aids my concentration too - NOT ! Dunkield
I lost the will to live on some of the stands. Glad it's not just me then, 3-4 pairs is enough, then onto the next one. I guess queueing is a problem as well.
Mungler
You prima lady boys. A whole "extra pair" per stand. Lordy lordy, heavens above. No doubt you are all just feinting at the very thought..... Pansies with no concentration the lot of you. EDIT: Peter's brother wouldn't have worried Edited November 13, 2009 by Mungler
Peter De La Mare
Peter's brother wouldn't have worried Ya, shame he wasnt't here, he wudda kicked allayaasses around. If I, being the **** shooter, was within 7 oh high gun, he'd have got at least 85. Count your blessings Mr England Shot Arnold.
MC
I will admit I actually like the 6 pairs format as it gives you a chance to find the birds if you are strugling. For me a classic example was the last stand we shot. I missed the fist 5 second birds because I couldn't find it over my head where as I changed and shot it as it was dropping (like everyone else did ) and killed the last one. It works both ways as if you miss the first couple it gives you a bit of a chance to get on them but it is also a concentration exercise. And to be honest for nearly all of us to be within 9 or 10 birds from an England team member says something, especially as most of us (PDLM excepted) are humble sunday morning hay balers. I reckon if we had another round we all would have got more than 80. Well I wouldn't as I only had about 30 cartridges left but you know what I mean Edited November 13, 2009 by MC
Bagsy
Is someone going to do a who's who of the less well known Essex guns? Certainly sir.........from left to right.. 3amp, John, Milan, MC, PDLM, Bagsy, Sue Bear, Trotter (Del Digweed), Broken Man, Mungler, ME. A good mix of regular and occasional shooters The Essex Team
Bagsy
Proof, if it were needed, that we were robbed! A reply from the man himself............... "What dodgy Kent score cards. We didn't bother with score cards. I just thought of a number at random, and somehow it was bigger than the Essex number. 1. I still can't believe that you believed me 2. Home ground advantage. Me doing the numbers. You didn't have a chance. Better luck next time, but I've written out our cards already, and we're gonna shoot really well". Somehow I reckon we'll be getting our own back
Mungler
Great day. So when and what is the next one? Damn I wish there were more decent shoots - the can't miss ones are: 1. Essex Masters 2. Mays of London (got cancelled this year - major league downer) 3. Essex team club shoot New to the list 4. JJs services charity shoot - lets make sure it happens again next year. Lets ask for 14 birds a stand just to **** off the light weights
Bigweed
Got 2 rounds of skeet in today at local farm - the wind certainly made the targets different but still managed a 22 ans

Markio
39x50 today with my new s/s at St Osyth. Really pleased with the gun, it's first real shots fired today (other than a few test ones to make sure it worked!). Bigweed
Another miserable performance for me again today at Caterham - 65/100 dropping 16 on 2 stands . Scores seam to be going back wards and getting more and more ****** off. To top it off took me 2 hours to get home due to problems on M25 AGAIN
paulos
I shot the Yorkshire A/R today and did pretty average. DTL 24/25, ABT 22/25, ESK 24/25 and ESP 15/25 to finish on 85. That crappy sporting score well and truly killed me off. :o
