Spaniel
I suppose it depends on how long your surname is...mine is quite long so we kept the kids names short Amy Lewis Taylor Mason Down our way there seem to be a lot of Thomas, Bradley,Oliver, Ben, and Josh about.... Zapp
James or Ben. Either that or give him an unusual name (if you dont actually like him that much and want him to get bullied). May I suggest in this case you name him after the famous 16th century Swiss alchemist, physician and astrologer Theophrastus Bombastus von Hohenheim. Cosd
Why not call him your dad's name? It's a tradition for Greeks to name the first born son after his grandfathers name. I had two girls so my first born is called Albert ;)
amateur
Just put 10 or so acceptable names in a hat and get your wife to draw one Whatever she picks, I am sure she will change her mind.
lord_seagrave
What have you got to work with in the family? i.e. what are your father's first names, and what are your wife's father's first names? Alternatively, what about Duncan? That's a splendid name... LS
Breastman
You may find some inspiration on Wikipedia. Type his birthday (just '8 March', not the year) and it will give you a list of almost everything of interest that happened on that date plus a list of everyone famous who was born and who died on that date. When i did it i was amazed at the events/people relevant to my name! Mark
