  1. The money stays in the country, that's the main thing.
  2. The problem with running a legit childminding business is the amount and complexity of the regulation is over the top, and that does make it expensive. Which of course results in a plethora of unofficial childminders and arrangements
  3. Attention seeking plonker, he has achieved what he set out to achieve, he has got his name and his face on TV and in the papers. It worked for Corbyn, it worked for Gina Miller, so why shouldn't it work for him? he's probably got a plan.
  4. I think its more than that now, both my sons used to do it in the summer holidays. Some days they would sit there all day and only have to do about twenty shots. Other days it was full on but they very often got a good tip on top.
  5. There was a man on the radio saying, In the 80s he was an ordinary squaddie earning £11K but he got a free house for his family. For him the house was a clincher, married quarters was a massive plus and it locked him in to his service career for many years. Today he would get £14K but NO HOUSE and he wouldn't be able to rent a house on that pay so game over. Unless he was stationed somewhere remote and carp for his kids to grow up.
  6. Personally, I couldn't care less. Im not being negative but who really gives a stuff? Idiots? yes probably (definitely!) but I don't really give a flying F-F-Fig
  7. Gina Miller, it turned out, was George Soros' bitch stooge bought and paid for by his money. She's gone a bit quiet since her patronage was revealed, funny that considering her (almost obsessive) love of the limelight. People are judged by the company they keep
  8. You do that and the warders will live in fear of retribution, inside and outside the prison. So much so that, for the money it wouldn't be worth putting their families at risk and they would leave.
  9. I would support the death penalty but juries would lack the strength of character to send a man to the gallows. Many extremely guilty men would walk free because of snowflake jurers
  10. The trouble with legalising cannabis is you would cut off their income stream but what would they do to replace it? Get a job? A start would be to identify and actually deport the ones who shouldn't be here in the first place.
  11. You have to also take into account the change in ethnic dynamics regarding violent crime in London. Take the moped gangs now such a problem, a very high percentage of those involved were refugees of some description. Young men who never went through the UK education system so you can't blame the schools. They also don't have permanent addresses so hard to serve summons and other papers.
  12. One of the present Mayor's election pledges was to put an end to stop and search - go figure it out for yourself. Despite having to bury their kids, there is still massive opposition from so called (usually self appointed) "Community Leaders" around stop and search. It helps them to maintain the narrative that the Police are racist and not to be trusted.
  13. Well your best option is probably to go the optician in Bisley. If nothing else he will know about shooting glasses.
  14. Poland massively benefits financially from its EU membership where as Britain massively doesn't. For Poland the issue is just they don't like being told what to do. Although disgruntled they would be cutting down the money tree if they left.
  15. Nobody actually gives a "fig" about Ireland, we don't, the EU doesn't, even Ireland doesn't care about the border. Its a problem created out of thin air Tony Blair needs to realise his name is Toxic , anything he says pushes opinion the other way a good article in the Express on Sunday saying Brexit is a low priority for the EU. Things are imploding without our little distraction. Merkel is Toast, Italy, Greece, Hungary and Poland are in revolt and "should be" kicked out. Nothing is working.
  16. Would they have done it without social media to spread it? Chicken and egg debate looming there? Sad to say, I couldn't really care. A-holes are A-holes and always will be
  17. It is very sobering to realise WW1 was fought by very ordinary people from ordinary places. They weren't soldiers they were sons, fathers, husbands and uncles. Stop at a little village war memorial and see all those names. Ruislip, where I live was a hamlet in 1914 with out lying farms. Yet they lost over 70 according to the war memorial. Staggering losses for such a small community.
  18. £70 and a proper pub lunch is the going rate around here (without the dogs, dogs put it up to around £100). Still cheap when the guns are paying what they are paying to shoot the birds
  19. I had mine rechipped and (touch wood) I haven't had a problem or an error message since in 70k miles . Still gives 60 mpg and goes like a rocket
  20. Take it to an independent performance chipping specialist, get "the Fix" taken out and have it upgraded to what it should always have been in the first place. Then all the problems will disappear and it will feel like a different car. Better performance and better MPG because the engine isn't being strangled
  21. The main problem with Hodgon powders like pyrodex and Triple 7 is not so much whether they are REACH compliant or not, it whether the importers, Edgar Bros can be bothered to pay to have them tested . Powders are such a PIA to import, store and distribute now its more trouble than its worth
  22. That's certainly true for car auctions, the big fleet sellers pay a small fraction of what you or I would be charged
  23. Triple 7 is much less corrosive than Pyrodex but neither are likely to be available in the UK any more if the importer gives up importing US powders.
  24. The Civil Service don't want Brexit because it will mean a lot of extra work for them to do. Remain would have meant they could have carried on doing the crossword and drinking coffee.
  25. I understand that Lothar Walther do a pre threaded, pre chambered ready to fit replacement barrel for Sakos for about £400 plus fitting as Scobydog said
