  1. There is some stuff on youtube, I haven't been through it all myself but it might be a place to start looking
  2. This is what has happened in Harrow. Debenhams used to be right in the heart of the shopping centre but two new malls have left it isolated now. I still buy from them quite a lot but I tend to buy click and collect popping in about 7.45pm when the car parks are both free and empty to pick up my order When I go at that time the shop is deserted .
  3. really he has been a professional agitator rather than a politician.
  4. He was like this when he was my MP, never saw him doing anything 'out and about' on his constituency. Never saw him visiting schools or community projects. I believe he is totally disinterested in ordinary people and politics. He lives in a little bubble of 1970s political throwbacks who still call each other comrade and are still plotting the Revolution
  5. A lot of people who buy all sorts of vehicles routinely take them and have them chipped to improve the performance because they know new cars are detuned in order to meet the emissions regulations. Sometimes the improvement can be significant but the emissions will suffer without a doubt. If you are not happy with VW's extra detuning I would say take it to a performance specialist and get the grunt put back and to blazes with the emissions
  6. Of course the fact that he has got his face and name all over the papers and on the TV has absolutely nothing to do with it. How dare you even think that!
  7. It puts money into an economy that needs all the money it can get, the price of wool has collapsed, I think sheep are fetching about half what they did a few years ago at market. The hills that used to be covered with sheep are bare now. Fishing was ruined by the EU and nobody wears tweed anymore The goats will end up on a plate no doubt, its no different to driving them to the abattoir, except somebody is prepared to fly in, pay a taxi to take them to a hotel stay a few nights and then probably pay an extortionate amount to do the abatoir's job for them The hotel benefits it creates jobs and everybody wins. How can a Scottish MP be so thick as not to realise, this is the real world, shooting is an industry in a rural economy.
  8. Now I have heard of keeping a low profile but (even though I despise the man with a vengeance) he is still the leader of her majesty's opposition. I know from past experience he is both bone idle and disinterested in anything outside his own little bubble of cronies but this is bizarre behaviour. He is completely absent from the public gaze. Won't do interviews, never seen out visiting schools, factories, hospitals etc. He's vanished off the political radar.
  9. you would be surprised how many times you see people down here with supermarket trolleys piled high with bottled water. the water is better up there than it is down here.
  10. But allegedly, according to the small print, you are only entitled to make a claim under the sale of goods act if you are the original owner/purchaser. A lot of people who are not the original owner are getting sucked up into believing they are in line for some money.
  11. Might appeal to some, I would call it Frankenstein food
  12. Certainly plaswads were the best available, what happened to them?
  13. I found the story remarkable, and I will leave it at that.
  14. There have always been isolated incidents in cattle, the epidemic wasn't new, just the extent. not for many years, probably ten or more generations back now.
  15. Hope they washed it in between!. I've had it done and its a necessary procedure so you just get on with it.
  16. The only danger with using your phone over there on google maps is the data charges can be steep. When we go to usa we turn off data on our phones
  17. I have a sat nav for USA and Canada that I bought in Walmart. Its a Tomtom and it cost about $100. Don't call them a satnav they call them a GPS, Ones that cover over there and over here combined are more than double the price so best to buy two separate but identical ones. Find out from Walmart website what they are selling then get the same here. You stand no chance of getting one over there that will cover Europe as well, there is no market for it. If you want a dual purpose one you will have to buy one here before you go. Either way get some good satnav practice first before you go. You don't want to start completely from scratch when you arrive Renting one from the car hire places is usually around $15 a day so it depends how long you are staying. But they just hand you a satnav, they assume you know how to use it
  18. I've got a lot of 2 stroke oil for the boat engine, how much do you put in? Actually redex looks like the 2 stroke oil I've got in the garage. That's dark red too.
  19. Actually main agents are probably offering the best deals at the present time. Buying privately has never been more risky with all the scammers running amok on ebay and autotrader at the moment.
  20. That is certainly true of Mercedes. I can't see the present ones built in Eastern Europe being good for a half a million miles like the old Stuttgart built Mercedes.
