  1. "Used" to make?-Nikon make some of the highest quality lenses in the world. If its the photographic Nikon company then be prepared for superb quality optics - these are amoungst the Rolls-Royce of lenses.
  2. Had a sore arm for days after the first shot and felt a bit rough for a couple of days but nothing too bad-had second jab 6 weeks later and no effects at all.
  3. A big fan of Mullakins myself but just lately ive been using a really cheap Korean tyres called Fu Que Diyoungs. :look:
  4. Bin ages now and no attempt has been made to contact me so i,m out of the running-i think that puts ST3V3 in first place if this offer comes to anything?-bruno.
  5. I'm a little confused (does'nt take much)-if this is the best detector on the market-how can you upgrade?-just a thought
  6. I'm 100% with hutchie the wit on this thread-if you do find a dead cat in your snares contact me first and i'll stand you a beer.
  7. Dont forget to feed it the right diet-Eley extra subs up to 70 yards and RWS high velocity for longer ranges. If you use either of these rounds and miss then its down to you!!! Good luck with it and, if its your first FAC, be carefull till you get used to it-you would'nt be the first person to wound ,or even worse, someone best part of a mile away.
  8. Sincerest apologies for my sledgehammer wit in my initial post-my intention was never to be derisive or belittle your shooting ability.Simply put i was merely suggesting that if your gun has the power to kill (say 10.5 +) then you must be missing the vital part of the target-did i see in a further post that you are planning to add a scope?-if you are shooting at a small target over 20 yards away with "iron sights" this might explain a lot-it takes a very good shot to pull this off and maybe the addition of optics will solve your probs?
  9. 1/ Get your guns power checked on a chrono. 2/ Practice until you can shoot a flies eye out at 1/2 mile-then practice some more.If 1&2 have no effect -quit shooting. Here endeth the lesson.
  10. you could try taking off the metalwork and placing a piece of card from, say, a cereal box between the metal and the forend-a bit of cutting and you should be able to make some kind of shim-try one at a time till you get a perfect closure of the forend-i have to say, however, that a gun like that really deserves to be checked out by a gunsmith-its a quality bit of kit-ATB-bruno.
  11. If both barrels are choked the same then you can just swap the triggers over or get a gunsmith to do it if you are unsure-or you could buy a single trigger gun or a left hander-the list of possibilities endless!
  12. I would'nt shoot at pigeons with a 9mm GG as i dont consider them pokey enough to kill cleanly-these guns were designed to kill small birds or mammels hence the no.9 shot that most seem to use.
  13. On the inside of the forend is the metalwork flush with the woodwork-if its been apart and over-tightened the wood may be hitting the lower barrel and stopping the catch engaging-just a thought-bruno.
  14. This is TRUE-someone i know (wink wink) was taking his test a few years ago -within a mile of leaving the test centre i, sorry he, came upon an accident blocking the road-after 10 minutes or so of waiting the examiner explained that we ,sorry- they, couldnt wait any longer as more people were due to be tested and if we, sorry -they, were late then the whole day would be messed up.They were on a short stretch of a 2 lane road and he suggested that the driver perform a "u" turn despite it being illegal to do so.By the time they had turned the car round it was time to return to the test centre where,to my-mates- suprise, he then tested him on the highway code before informing him that i,sorry-my mate, had passed!! -top man!!

    Rat traps

R.E. my initial post-"most people i KNOW" etc-not me cos i dont have one anymore so lets not shoot the messenger. As for shooting them in situ-theres a high risk of blood splashes directly or from the cage afterwards so you need to be carefull.

    Rat traps

mine worked well for years till it got nicked-leave it outside for a while to weather-use gloves to hide your smell when handling it -most people i know drop them in water when a catch is made to avoid blood all over the wire.
  17. comes under band "K"-if registered b4 23/3/06 tax is defo £200 and not due to rise-check out the car tax website.
  18. if it was registered before 23rd march 06 then the road tax will be £200 per annum-after that date it will be around the £400 mark.
  19. pretty sure they are protected now in this country?

BRNO 452-had mine for many years and looks like new-only ever zeroed it twice!
  21. Surely by putting "all your eggs in one basket" you are losing the savings gained by shopping around?-just because ,say, tesco is competative on car insurance they may be bad on household. When the difference between a good deal and a bad in the financial market could run into many hundreds of pounds i think that you would need a major carrot to dangle in front of consumers before they would use your company exclusively-i'm certainly not aware of any company doing such a thing-besides you would still be wise to change your "broker" annually-its foolish to maintain the status quo insurance -wise.
  22. Hi james-ive got a fair bit of land quite near to you that gets loads of pigeons on it once the weather turns nasty-i will contact you as soon as they arrive this year and we can see how you do! :good:As this member has not bothered to pm me with contact details and has not posted since the 29th nov-the offer is withdrawn. There are plenty of people locally who need land to shoot on.
