  1. This is TRUE-someone i know (wink wink) was taking his test a few years ago -within a mile of leaving the test centre i, sorry he, came upon an accident blocking the road-after 10 minutes or so of waiting the examiner explained that we ,sorry- they, couldnt wait any longer as more people were due to be tested and if we, sorry -they, were late then the whole day would be messed up.They were on a short stretch of a 2 lane road and he suggested that the driver perform a "u" turn despite it being illegal to do so.By the time they had turned the car round it was time to return to the test centre where,to my-mates- suprise, he then tested him on the highway code before informing him that i,sorry-my mate, had passed!! -top man!!

    Rat traps

R.E. my initial post-"most people i KNOW" etc-not me cos i dont have one anymore so lets not shoot the messenger. As for shooting them in situ-theres a high risk of blood splashes directly or from the cage afterwards so you need to be carefull.

    Rat traps

mine worked well for years till it got nicked-leave it outside for a while to weather-use gloves to hide your smell when handling it -most people i know drop them in water when a catch is made to avoid blood all over the wire.
  4. comes under band "K"-if registered b4 23/3/06 tax is defo £200 and not due to rise-check out the car tax website.
  5. if it was registered before 23rd march 06 then the road tax will be £200 per annum-after that date it will be around the £400 mark.
  6. pretty sure they are protected now in this country?

BRNO 452-had mine for many years and looks like new-only ever zeroed it twice!
  8. Surely by putting "all your eggs in one basket" you are losing the savings gained by shopping around?-just because ,say, tesco is competative on car insurance they may be bad on household. When the difference between a good deal and a bad in the financial market could run into many hundreds of pounds i think that you would need a major carrot to dangle in front of consumers before they would use your company exclusively-i'm certainly not aware of any company doing such a thing-besides you would still be wise to change your "broker" annually-its foolish to maintain the status quo insurance -wise.
  9. Hi james-ive got a fair bit of land quite near to you that gets loads of pigeons on it once the weather turns nasty-i will contact you as soon as they arrive this year and we can see how you do! :good:As this member has not bothered to pm me with contact details and has not posted since the 29th nov-the offer is withdrawn. There are plenty of people locally who need land to shoot on.

    shampoo

Theres a new one out for certain races-GO AND WASH.
  11. L'Oreal-cos your worthless and the chink dipping a comorant in the water.
  12. Good first post i agree but around the aylesbury area you need to offer something like a free car to get on any decent land!
  13. I'm with magman on this-wrap it up, well oiled, and keep it cos these certainly are never gonna drop in value. These are top quality guns that were made to last and can be tuned to the limit with ease-i used a tuned one many years ago and was amazed at the experience of the pellet striking the target before the gun kicked-if you dig out very early airgun mags you will see that a lot of writers used this gun .If i were in your shoes i would buy a cheap hw80 or 77 and save the Feinwerkbau for a rainy day.
  14. Ive allways used the small supermarket wine bottles-just soak the label off.
  15. Hows this for coincidence?-im guessing you bought this from garethw-i bought the other one and i also have an s200 and i'm looking for the same parts-spooky.

    do gooders

***?-they had no legal rights whatsoever to remove your dog from your land-if the dog was in obvious distress then they could call the RSPCA but in removing the dog and landing you with a bill they must be held accountable. The kennels had no right to charge you for the return of your own dog either-take em both to the small claims court.

  19. Im 47 and never go to bed b4 2 a.m. and then up at 5:45 everyday cept sunday when i lay in till 7 unless im going pigeon shooting-bin the same all my life.
  20. you would be surprised what you can get for £900 in used rice burners-ten a penny at the moment.
  21. I would buy a ZKM452 (brno) and pop a moderater on it-get a 10 round mag and use Eley extra subs-deadly at over 80yards and quiet as a mouse fert-have fun.
  22. I think you are about to learn why the Rat is such a prolific pest-stupid they aint.Using an air rifle is a fun way of picking a few off but i doubt that you will reduce their numbers significantly. My shooting buddy and myself used to visit a farm every Friday night for 3-4 hours armed with semi automatic 9mm garden guns, maglites on top and laser pointers clamped to the barrels-some nights we would kill over a hundred but after over 2 years we had to admit defeat and put down 50kg of rat poison-within a month the population was again out of control and we withdrew and left them to the council who removed the livestock from the farm and thus the rats food source. We had a lot of fun with them though!
  23. I my opinon you wont beat Air Arms guns for the money-the build quality is amazing and ive regretted selling mine every time i let one go.If i were in your dads position i would go for an S200 in .177 calibre and use a heavy pellet when after bunnies-accupels or Air Arms field will deal with feathers out to 45 yards if you are good enough to shoot at that range.Dont forget to budget for either a pump or a tank to keep the thing charged.
