Few days after cleaning my SxS BP Repro, I was busy loading her, powder, wad, shot, wad....Hammers at half cock, or so I thought. It turns out that after removing the locks I had over tightened the retaining screw and the LH Hammer was actually jammed against the wood. Cradeled in my left arm,Percusion cap on LH nipple then as I tried to put the RH nipple on I must have touched the LH Hammer - this duly fell and fired the gun just as my friend walked past me to my left. The blast removed the front of his Belstaff jacket along with 2 buttons but, apart from burn marks, he was untouched. Been ultra careful now for 40+ yearts.

Love it or hate it, my "refurbed" AYA Yeoman.

And here's living proof that, with considerable effort, you can even devalue a gun that was worth nothing to start. Horrendous. -
2 schools near me closed due to the virus.

He's looking better now thanks, but if he sees water he's in it and everthing is mud around here at the moment so we have to clean and treat the wound twice a day. I sent a TXT to the copper and he has asked me not to contact him again following advice - looks like it's going to go to court as the Police have emailed me to say that no offence has taken place so it's a civil matter - it's no suprise that most people have absolutely no faith in them whatsoever - only time I see a copper is if I'm doing 33mph in a 30 zone. TBH - I am developing a loathing for them.

If the car ran for a while before conking out it may have been running the ignition system on battery power alone - the battery warning light would be lit if this was the case - sounds like a earth or alternator/rectifier problem to me.

If you contact the owl trust they may help or even give you a box?

And will it be more accurate? Free floating a barell is great if you are bench resting or never get your gun knocked or dropped - but on a sub 12 airgun? Waste of time IMHO and there are far better ways of ensuring accuraccy - weighing your pellets costs nothing but will give better returns.
-
Dont bother - the s200 , in it's standard guise, is far more accurate than you will ever be. If you really want to throw money at it then get a larger cylinder and have a Reg fitted. Nothing short of brilliant little guns in my humble opinion.

Last weeks attack - first visit to the vet was Friday where he was given pain killers but he was not happy over the weekend so we took him back today - wound has become infected so injections and a clean with antibiotics to follow.
-
Another trip to the vet today after a local Police Officer allowed his (pet) Alsation to attack my dog as he was looking for a ball - now infected and his temp is over 40. Bill now stands at £171 and rising.

I can say, hand on heart, that I never have, but then I dont shoot deer. I prefere to watch them.

The fact that it was a second shot makes it worse for me - who's pulling the trigger? Mr Magoo? To attempt to justify this clip as anything other than downright cruelty is sheer folly - and as for why are clips like this released, is it OK to let this kind of practice continue as long as no body sees it? The shooting community needs to clean up it's act and damned fast if it has any hope of surviving long term. Laughing as an animal dies in pain and fear is the act of a complete moron - no excuses.

This kind of scam is getting more common - some forums now insist that you write your user name and the date on a piece of paper and include it in the picture - might be worth the Mods looking into?

It's getting more common by the minute - this lockdown scenario has encouraged every kind of idiot and their uncle to get a Dog. My 2 Spaniels were attacked twice yesterday in 2 different woods - the second time by an Alsation that belongs to a Policeman. First one was a Dalmation and I have let the owners know, in no uncertain terms, that if the Dog does it again, I will set about it with a lump of wood. Told the Copper as well what I thought of him and his Dogs. I am seriously considering carrying something with me to protect my Dogs from now on - £68 this evening in the vets + Mr Plod is going to be paying that if it's the last thing I do.

I'm no expert but I would suggest anything that is a good known brand (Akela is very good but not cheap) and add such things as Cauliflower, Red Peppers and Apple pieces (never the whole Apple) - drop them in a food processer and shred to small chunks - you could do a batch and freeze the portions in bags) might also be worth asking if you should limit his water intake. If you ever get stuck with a Dog refusing food I've found Freshpet (in the fridge at Tesco) is about as reliable as it gets.

Allegedly were a sub-contract manufacturer and made the barrels for lower end models, such as the Silver Pigeon. Not sure about allegedlly - it's on their website + My local RFD told me a couple of years ago as well. They made the actions.

Dont ATA make parts for Beretta? I believe they made recievers since a joint venture starting in 2000. Also worth mentioning that they have been in business for 60 years.

12gauge82 agree 100%.

TBH, Ditchy - the duvet offers very little in the way of protection from the current wind situation.

2 tbsp Paprika + 2 tbsp Smoked Paprika + 2 tbsp Black Pepper + 2 tbsp Salt (not table salt - use crystals) + 1/2 tbsp Brown Sugar + 1/2 tbsp Garlic Powder + 1/2 tbsp Onion Powder + 1 tsp Cumin. Rub it in at 1 & 1/2 teaspoons per 500g mince. When you've mixed it pop it in the freezer for half hour before shaping.

They dont come much easier to work on than the Airsporter - get the bits online and do it yourself - tuning an Airsporter not really worth the bother IMHO - best kept around 10-11 ftlb.

What the police have, in fact, is removed guns from a totally law abiding man - they have no right to remove legally held weapons. If we do not stand united against such heavy handed tactics and use the actual law, and not the police version of it, we are all doomed. I would have thought that BASC, wether the OP is a member or not, would have jumped at such an opportunity to put the Police in their place - upholding, and not making up, the law.
-
So no charges were made - surely then you are innocent of any wrong doing, you are either guilty or not, there is no middle ground. It would seem to me that contacting the Chief Constable would be first port of call and ask why your guns have been illegally siezed and, whilst on the phone make it clear that you need his full contact details so you can issue a Summons for theft.
-
Not sure just how much more blame the Dogs can take - she's suggesting now that we take them to the Vets - keeping these well hidden.

I would think a 4mm dia. bit would do the job - through the middle of the phillips cross then the head will spin as soon as you hit the shank.
