OK - so about 5 months ago I bought an ancient Volvo V70 estate, just for carrying the dogs around - I tend to buy anything suitable with 12 months ticket then scrap it once it fails it's MOT. This Volvo is a heap, the paint has faded and the interior is disgusting but here's my problem.... Why do people keep asking me how much I want for it? Honestly - 3 different strangers in the last 2 months - anyone know something about these that I don't?

Waiting for a confirmation from humperdingle - please let me know if you still want the bits now you can see exactly what's up for grabs.
-
Happy to post at cost - will put up pic to make sure you want the stuff - it's a real blast from the past.

37 Eley fourlong cartridges no7 shot, Lee powder measure kit (15 plastic scoops with load date) in original box and a Lee Loader 12G (single cartridge loader, still in original box with instructions) - both LEE items are ancient!! Free to anyone who wants them - collection preferred.

Mine had to be chained to a solid wall in an outbuilding and was inspected before the licence was issued.

That's great to hear that an RFD knows his responsibility and is honest enough to follow the law - the Turkish guns do take a lot of beating BTW.

Not sure which camp I'm in here? When I was 13, my father (ex RAF PT Instructor) beat me for taking his torch whilst playing "kiss chase" - the impact damaged my Pancreas and I became type 1 diabetic within weeks. As the years have gone by, I have lost the sight in one eye, am experiencing heart failure, suffer with extreme fatigue along with numerous operations (including transplant surgery) and hundreds of Hospital visits along with over 70k injections - my driving licence is restricted to 1 year and I cannot get life Insurance - I'm guessing that I truly deserve to die so that the young ingrates can p**s it up the wall and get on with their, largely, selfish lives?

Lee5159 - do you have some weird kind of co2 fetish for the obscure and unobtainable? These guns that you have mentioned so far are pretty much useless for anything other than as a talking point - c'mon, come clean now.

Talking to a chap with one the other day - bought his back in 1995 - he says it's his second and he sells them on when they hit 200k miles - his current one has 180k and has only ever required a replacement hose apart from normal service items.

FAC and Depression (over 5yrs ago)

Not my place to suggest if he should be trusted or not, but happy that he has sorted himself out and is over such a traumatic episode - good luck to him whatever happens. -
Quick shufti on the bay reveals that Gamo/ BSA are, indeed, compatible - guessing that Diego knocks them all up at the same time.

Not a recommendation simply because all guns differ slightly but after having my local dealer check out my Wildcat (.177) I was somewhat surprised that he found Remington Thunder to perform the best ( H&N Field Target Trophy by any other name) - laser accurate and the handful of unlucky varmints that have strayed within 40 yards of me certainly haven't complained about lack of oomph.
-
Shame on you Sir - the Hades is going to save the world from tyranny, increase your guns power level to something resembling an Elephant rifle, make your gun laser accurate over such ranges that you will need to compensate for the curvature of the earth as well as making you truly irresistible to any woman you care to ogle - pretty sure that's what the adverts suggest?
-
I think you may be correct with the light idea - my spuds grew so high and fast to reach light that they fell over as soon as a decent wind blew - it really isn't worth growing your own money wise. Now I stick to Cucumbers, Tomatoes, Chillies and herbs - Coriander grows well and gives the garden a nice smell.
-
Pretty sure that the "real" Stutzen only came in .177 or .22 - others are the Gamo versions - not for me I'm afraid.
-
Had one every year for as long as I can remember - it's no hassle whatsoever, needles don't bother me after having somewhere near 50,000 injections + god knows how many blood tests.

A paper Tiger and a Steam Remover will remove it in seconds.

The only thing wrong about the S410 is..........er..............?????? Absolutely nothing TBH. Stupidly accurate, boringly reliable, a delight to use and very little depreciation if you buy wisely - wallow in self praise as idiots (count me among them) spend wedges of cash on far more expensive rifles that the S410 matches, if not beats, in 99...9% of real world situations.

Superb little gems - couldn't get one for love nor money when I was in the market for one - had to settle for a KOFS.

Mice! You are definitely heading towards being scrubbed from my Glittery Christmas Card list. I only have 2 Airguns and one is just for nostalgia really - 10 shotguns that all shoot pretty much the same and 2 RF Rifles - the .22lr rarely gets used and the .17 isn't really fussy what stands in it's way nor how far away it is!

Had a record couple of weeks on Magpies - after failing dismally all year to reduce the local population (hands up - poor marksmanship and a Spaniel that runs around the garden yapping every time I pick up the gun) I have shot 5 for 5 shots, I'm on a roll! One was a bit fluky - he sat for about 1/2 hour making bubbling noises while we were having a family BBQ so I put a shot his way hoping to scare him off (wasn't a serious shot - he was a good 60 yards away) - aimed about a foot above him hoping that the pellet rattling through the Hawthorn would do the job when surprise, surprise a solid thud preceded him dropping like a stone.
-
That's not a sale, it's a giveaway - it pains me to see so much gun going for so little money.

Pain is negligible but find a Tatooist with a superb reputation - if you are anywhere near Buckinghamshire look up Dean North in Buckingham - absolute genius.
