  4. most 303 seem to be smoothbore to 410 are you sure this one is not the same
  5. I brought what must have been a rolls Royce of SxS from wrabbitbasher as it cost me the sum of£75.00 quite a lot for his guns I think Anyway a nice tight gun maybe a bit stiff to open , but shoots a dream only problem in sporting the barrels get a bit hot I would love a Damascus SxS
  6. Looking for replacement control electronic board for these old traps Any help apreciated
  7. with Wabbitbosher you should be able to walk out with the full set, 12g, 20g, 28g and 410 stops the guns being lonely
  8. The original importer of Betinsolli guns, they had a bad reputation of double firing, Roug took over as importers about 10 years ago and the gun had changes made before they started to import and cured the problem and gained a good name The spare chokes you have are most likely from a more modern Betinsolli gun
  9. Always worth measuring the inside and outside of the barrel to check its not got a chage in it, some people were rather lax in this area
  10. I think you will find that Ruag the importers solved the double discharge when they took over as importers about 10 years or more ago with a re profiled sear
  11. Maybe with short range but high accuracy over that range then maybe shooting those nice bunnies would be a good reason to change the law Bloody stupid film shooting a buffalo though, not clever even though Indians used to shoot them with bow and arrow
  12. All this talk of one of the big three guns everyone suggests buying reminds me of my 7 year old Bettinsoli that double discharged after 7 years, I rung up the importers and asked there advice, the answer was " I will arrange pick up tomorrow, we will replace all moving parts in the action and return it for £60 " that was two years ago and works a treat since then and came back with small pouch with all the old springs sears etc with it. Not bad for a cheap shotgun
  13. Shotguns made over the last twenty odd years hardly ever go wrong; and when the do its normally a relitivly low repair price, but and a big but the amount of time to get a spare part can be significant New guns normally have good spares available but low volume guns can still be new but limited on spares Depreciation on all guns or a very high percentage, is normal and most who say they have apreciated at the under £2,000 level have normally been sold a replacement gun at a far higher price enabling a good value for the trade in Gun prices on sites like GUNTRADER are what the seller would like not always what they will except Some second hand guns come with fantastic wood for the price and can make you smile every time you take it out others especially the big three have normally prity **** wood Even Farmer jones old SxS that rattles around in the back of his tractor all year in the damp will last out his lifetime and was probably a very cheap gun when brought by his grandfather
  14. Just be good neighbours keep a good lookout around you and don't scare people sunday walking along the other side of the fence, cars more likely to crash watching a person with a gun rather than having a bird fall on them
  15. Trouble is so many different ways of using them you can never tell if they always walk through grass or soft crop or gorse and flint, also how much they wear them some all day others every other sunday
  16. Although i have never been a good shot, for a period i did get totally lost at sporting I then went and shot skeet for a month andafter a poor start i slowly bult up the score You know with skeet where you should be shooting and i found it helped to get back into the right frame of mind and sight
  17. Is it just the ejector spring weakened and whilst it has enough power to release the new cartridge the fired cartridge has expanded just enough to increase the pressure required
  18. Not a good idea to fire without the choke as the gun is proved with coke in place, remeoved the choke area will be much thinner and could cause a peel back from the week point

  20. Send a image to Teague who will sort you out, most chokes are often made for more than one gun maker Send to this lady Kellianne Gray Office Manager D: 01666 841 496 kellianne@teaguechokes.com www.teaguechokes.com
  21. The problem with old fashion hand production as shown in the film is that so much relies on the person that day, where as machines can virtually guarantee quality every day, that's not to say one is better quality than another just the standard of quality is the consistent with most machines Hand made can be first class or **** its not always a sign of quality
  22. How many look up resale values when buying a new car yet it seems a massive part of buying a shotgun at probably 10% of the new cars value
  23. Sorry if it sounded wrong but just going by your statement "if I feel a flare up creeping on the gun stays in the cabinet and i stay at home " it does make you consider without knowing any of the history, if you should inform them, as I think its part of the licence that you inform them of any medical reasons that may effect your licence
  24. Are the police aware of you medical problem Just asking
