  1. Yeah, got as far as the star in the car and binned it. That's my third attempt and probably the last. I just cant stomach Chris Evans !
  2. I think when I did it, I used the Zetland street one. Don't park out front of the courts as you will only get a couple of hours. Also you can park by the cinema (UCG I think it is) but be careful as the car park is split in two with the back half being long stay and the front half only a couple of hours for cinema goers. I don't know Middlesbrough very well and try not go there unless I have to, so there could be better places and nearer for all I know ! Tell her to take a book, I have never experienced boredom like it !
  3. Cheers Guys, I'll get under it and see if I can see anything. I'll start with drive shafts and work from there. Don't think its traction control, I can feel a great big thud under the car somewhere. Its more like something battering off something else sort of noise. Strangely it doesn't do it at full lock, Only when I lose traction on gravel or I accelerate hard.
  4. I have a MK3 Focus estate Petrol. Its only a dog and tip run car but it has a rather nasty habit of making a bad noise every time it loses traction. Now I say a noise, it sounds like something is going to bust through the floor upfront somewhere. It sounds like a rotating crashing noise if that makes sense ? First thought was a CV joint as it sometimes does it under hard acceleration ? What do you guys reckon ? I also get a bit of vibration through the car when I hit 70 and wondered if it was all connected. If it is the CV joint how to I figure out which side is shot ? If not CV joint , anything else it could be ? Cheers in advance
  5. The bit that annoys me is they think they are a law unto themselves. The really annoying bit is the police refuse to police them so they are proven right, they ARE a law unto themselves. Its high time this travelling band of thieves and thugs were brought into line with the rest of society.

    Trans K9 box

I have one but i'm in the North East ! Only a couple of years old too !!
  7. Yup, Haven't spoken to my brother in 5 years. He was an alcoholic by his mid twenty's. My parent refused to accept it and live many miles away. The resulting fall out from his drink fuelled binges was left for me and an elderly auntie to sort out. I tried so hard to get him back on track but each time it would be thrown back at me in one way or another. He eventually emigrated to Australia and as far as i'm concerned its not far enough away. He was like a cancer in the family that was finally removed. He is now married with kids etc and my wife keeps in touch with his wife. My Mrs is constantly on at me to get back in touch with him. What she doesn't realise is that I have absolutely no wish to contact him ever again. I honestly couldn't care less any more. He has killed any feelings I ever had for him through his actions.
  8. frog tape, and don't wait for it to dry before you pull it off. Don't load the brush too heavily or it might bleed a bit.
  9. I drove from Darlington to just North of Glasgow last time to look at a VW van. Asked all the questions and bloke said it was mint. Rocked up and saw that one of the doors was caved in, asked the fella if he thought I would miss it ? He said there is a perfect door in the back, and there was. Only problem it was a totally different colour. The rest of the van was just a massive crappy mess. I nearly swung for him he was such a *****
  10. Trans K9 Dog box. I think its a B24 but not 100%. Only had it 2-3 years. In good condition with all the keys, inner mat and anti scratch mat to protect the car bumper. Was used for my Lab but have had 2 small build labs in it with no problem. The only reason I am selling is we have rescued another Lab and he is massive, just too much of a squeeze to have both in there for any length of time. These boxes really are superb and i'll be buying another double one as soon as this is sold. Would also consider a swap for a double if anyone is downsizing Looking for £250 ono. Based in the Northeast, Darlington. Cheers
  11. Due to a couple of older boys on the shoot dropping out this year due to health issues, there are a couple of places to be filled. We have a walk one, stand one shoot up near Mickleton / Middleton Teesdale. We shoot approx. 10 - 12 days per year. There is plenty of wild game around as well as approx. 3-400 pheasant that we release. We don't shoot massive bags, and we are terrible shots, but tend to average around 20 at each outing. Having a dog would be beneficial but not essential. If you are interested, send me a message and i'll pass your details onto the Shoot Captain. Cheers

    Pacific

Yes read them both. Helmet for my Pillow and I cant remember the other one. If you enjoyed that read the Louie Zamperini book. Recently made into a film. The mind boggles at what these guys went through
  13. I'm there in the morning. Came just outside the top ten last year, aiming for single figure position this year.
  14. There are at least 2 threads on here where people have built their own. One chap put a set in a range rover, the other did a set for a pick up.

    Religion

i don't believe either, but my kids are christened. Meant there were no awkward questions when we signed them up for our 1st choice school.
  16. You have confirmed what i suspected. If anyone knows where I can buy a pair of musto breeks in glen tweed with a 38 waist, let me know. Thanks guys.
  17. I'm on the hunt for a pair of musto breeks to match my jacket. I think the colour is glen but not totally sure. I have done an Internet search and all the usual big name shops are either out of stock or no longer sell that colour. On one search a place called deedmonkey popped up seing they have them at a discounted price and the size I need. Just wondering if anyone has bought from it or should I steer clear ? Cheers
  18. Is the dog breaking them into bits and swallowing some or just bringing them back whole ? If they are coming back whole I think i'd be having a good look round the field. Much more likely he Is picking up something and eating it, Or drinking from a stagnant water source ?

    Tough mudder

Done a few over the years. Total Warrior at Shap are my favourite. They are really good fun if you do them with a few mates. They aren't really very competitive and most are just happy to finish. Give them a whirl, you'll either love them or hate them

    Ridge Tiles

Am I the only one thinking that if 4 tiles have fallen off, the rest wont be far behind them. While the roofer is up there get him to lift and rebed the whole ridge. I did mine over Xmas, I had a scaffold up for solar panels so made the most of it. Took me a whole day by the time I had done the job and cleaned up etc.

    Manx family

I get the same with my wifes welsh family. Although living in England has provided for my Father in law and his children, educated them and provided a better standard of living than he could ever have hoped to achieve had he stayed in Wales, he still openly supports any other team than England regardless of sport. Last time I went to Wales to watch a Six Nations match I was genuinely surprised at some of the anti English comments said in 'jest' by him and a couple of his mates. So much so that when invited again I told him to stick it this year.

    Super Vet

If it were up to me, most of the animals on that programme would get put down instead of being hacked about by that man. Bloody cruel if you ask me
  23. Wow, thanks for all the replies. I'll look at all these and make a choice. Cheers
  24. I have the Wainright book collection so will have a flick through. Cat Bells sounds a nice one though. Can I take dogs on the ferry ? Yes the 'Lal Ratty' Lets just say its had more than its fair share of my cash over the years !! Cant not really as the station is a couple of hundred yards from my parents front door and I have two kids who love it.
  25. But can either of them punch a hole in a door
