  1. I have a nice Ruger 10/22 with moderator, bipod, sling, scope and scope mounted cree torch. Also chuck in an extra 10 shot Mag. Just down the A1 from you in Darlington. If your interested I can email you a few pictures
  2. Could have been somones grannies wedding ring or some other family heirloom. Could have been some hard working families life savings. I'm afraid your post smacks a tad of jealousy.
  3. If you're fixing the sides of the roof to the side walls of yours and your neighbours houses, i would think very carefully about how you intend to stop the walls getting wet when it rains. If you get standing water trapped anywhere along those walls it will cause issues inside eventually. If this happens to the neighbours house, it could cause you a heap of issues. I would look at installing some sort of flashing as even with a fall it could cause issues. Stick some pics up before and after though. I like to see a good build thread.
  4. I have a 2 stroke 100 / 110 cc Barossa quad which isnt getting used. Bought for my son last Christmas, we have only had it out twice. It has since sat gathering dust in the garage so now its time to go. Its a fairly tidy thing, which runs well. I just put a brand new battery on it the other day and it now starts on the button. The plastics are all in decent nick, no cracks etc just the usual scatches. The tyres are in good nick and should be good for a while. The 2 stroke oil is added via a seperate tank so no messy pre mix to deal with. Like i say it was bought for my son but was probably a bit big for him. I dare say it could be used by an adult for very light garden type work or for a small holding as its big enough for an adult to ride. I'm looking for around £250 or near offer and i'm based near Darlington, Co Durham. Any questions or if you want to see some pictures, drop me a PM Cheers
  5. I actually learned a bit on mine. No doubt those who thought it was going to be a waste of time before they went in, didnt. You have paid the best part of £100 for it, you might as well listen and participate.
  6. That looks really good.. Get your hands on some cheap aluminium angle or similar, use it to edge the drawer boxes and the edges of the cabinet. Stops any big chunks getting knocked off and making it look scabby over time. For that bit extra, cover it with some hard wearing cheap corded carpet first it will really give it a pro look.
  7. Hate the stuff. Spent 5 hrs putting my sons set togther in January. Swore i would never touch it again.
  8. I'll give the moving forward option a go first i think and see how i get on. Looking at it tonight I wonder if its more to do with the shape. It does have a bit more of an agressive curl to the trigger than my other gun, i wonder if its that which is causing the cutting ? I dont really want to add tubing or tape as its a nice grade 5 gun which i paid a lot of money for (To me anyway) and dont want to spoil its looks with tape. I wonder if i could change the trigger itself for something of a different shape or thickness ? Would any adjustable browning trigger fit ? Thanks for all the replies guys, nice to know its not just me it happens to !
  9. I find stuff like this incredible. The fact that you have the patience to sit and shape a lump of wood into a stock is alien to me. I just wouldnt start, knowing that it would only take one slip to ruin so many hours of work. Plus i'm a bit ham fisted when it comes to delicate stuff !! I doff my cap to you and your skills sir. Keep the updates coming, really looking forward to seeing how this turns out.
  10. Hi Chaps. Been out and shot some clays today and for the first time in a while didnt wear any gloves. I find that after around 50 clays the trigger rubs through a couple of layers of skin on my finger and it ends up bleeding. The gun is a MK 38 Miroku. I've checked the trigger and there is no sharp edge or anything. The only thing i can think is that the trigger sits right in the first bend of my finger and with the recoil, it cuts into my finger a bit after every shot. Any idea how i can remedy this ? I could move the trigger back or forwards a bit, but other than the fact i end up cut, its in a comfortable position. Any Ideas (other than wear some gloves) appreciated Cheers
  11. This is a great event for anyone who hasnt done it before. Well worth entering

    Rip off spa

Trip adivisor - Leave a stinker of a review. I cant stand stuff like this. Its the same as hotels who advetise that they have parking, then expect you to pay £20 per night for it. Thieving ****
  13. Give T20 or Insanity a go. They are total killers but work every muscle group
  14. Look at the western lakes as its usually a bit quieter. My parents live in Eskdale and its beautiful around there with some of the best walking in the country on the doorstep. Fisher Ground camp site does small lodges i think, or there are a couple of pubs which do B&B. Wherever you go enjoy !!
  15. Thanks for all the info guys, i'll let you know what i decide and how i get on. Im goingvto give them a call in the morning to make sure on the areas i shoot form. Had a word with the owner of my local club and he has no issue filling the form out if i need to. Cheers
  16. So i do have to give details of where i shoot ? I shoot a small Wednesday night league and ocasionally pop down to a clay club, but i am not a member of anywhere as such, no membership card or anything like that. I can understand doing this for rifles as the land needs to be cleared, but for shotguns used mainly for clays ? I cant remember doing this last time
  17. I feel the same way most replies have gone. Tell them to poke it. However when someone says it took a mate 9 months to get a renewal through it puts me off and makes me think i should just trot along to the doctors. Every fibre of me doesnt want to do it, but the hassle of having to keep my guns elsewhere for 3 or 4 months may out weigh it. A second question now - On the forms where you had to declare the land you shoot over and get signatures, i asumed that was only for firearms ? Or do i need to pop down to the clay club and get them to fill that in ? Cheers
  18. Hi. My SGC runs out in the middle of July so thought it prudent to get it submitted ASAP. There is a bit in the renewal now that i cant remember having to do last time. I need to take a form off to my doctor and have them sign something then they are supposed to send in a report to the licensing department. Now if i read this right, other than ticking the box to say i dont mind the police contacting my doctor i am not legally obliged to jump through this extra hoop. Question is, has anyone been brave enough to not have this report done ? The adivce section says it may be delayed if i dont do this ? What do you guys reckon, traipse down to the Docs and pay for a report or submit without ? Opinions Welcome Cheers
  19. It sounds like my walls are made from the same stuff as yours. I had a nightmare trying to fix my cabinets to it. The best solution by far is drill the deepest hole possible and use the resin anchor stuff with a lenght of thread bar. The problem with any mechanical fixing is with the blocks being soft you just end up compressing it with the fixing. It may seem tight to begin with but it could eventually work itself loose. Hope you get it sorted either way
  20. OK, if anyone can explain why he has a 10 year old girl in a nurses out fit with some stuffed heads behind her, i'd really appreciate it !!
  21. I work in the oil and gas industry and i have never seen such a slump in work for years. Its nice to save a few quid at the pump but when it puts my job in jepoardy , i'm not so keen !!
  22. gas strut which holds the tail gate open on my Shogun broke the other week. Phoned Mitsubishi and they have a shelf full as they are always breaking. Cost to you, a mere £152.00
  23. I had a 2001 which ended up rotting from the inside out. I have a 2010 one now and thats a nice enough car. Parts are really expensive for them and i seem to go through brake dics and pads like there is no tomorrow. They are a thirsty motor and you wont see much more than 23mpg combined. On the upside they drive really nice, they pull trailers and caravans with ease and are pretty handy off road.
  24. So he'll be out in 3 and a bit. Sure that young girls family are over the moon with that sentence. I despair of this country and its justice system.
