The new S5 are allot lighter as said, i have the old heavy weight, very good but if i had the choice to swap i would, but its not on a rifle i walk around with. I have a Sonic on another (very light) also a JetZ compact for a 30.06 which again is very good.

There's no question about the abilty to be able to shoot any rifle at whatever quary you have in mind, they shoot well with or without. But the ability to hold a normal conversation with a shooter that is profoundly deaf from damaged hearing caused by shooting rifles without sound moderators is extremly frustrating for both party's. Yes you can wear hearing protection whilst shooting if you choose, the same as folks choose to use moderators. But what you will not have the choice of is regaining your hearing loss, but that may be your choice, once its gone its gone for good. I have shot with an old timer that was happy to shoot without for as long as i am old, he shot both sporting and target at quite a high level and all i hear him say during a conversation is "you'll have to speak up" He has just recently moved up into the 21st century and has a mod for one, only one of his rifles. And that is the only rifle he will be asked to take whilst out lamping for Fox's due to the ecessive noise of an un-moderated rifle.

1912-1924 or after 1924 if it has "made in the usa" printed on the box. Thats the Winchester repeater. others not sure. check out google it just took me 3 minutes so you should find out a allot more At work and have toooo many restrictions on some sites. -
I would get in to the Dr asap and see them. As folk have said, if , and hopefully not you go in to an anaphylaxis shock then ringing for a Dr or 999 may not be possible.

Pinky its a great shame that traders like yourself refrain from going due to the fear of having stock stolen. The cost of organising these events is ever increasing, this is IMO not due to expense but down to greed from the organisers . Countryman Fairs should take more controll of this issue and look after its long term interests. And avoid these type's of shows ending up like the Royal.

Got rid of mine on my hmr because it started to show signs of burning up, swapped it for an ase utra. They are more expensive but its been on the hmr now for nearly 9 years.

Simon 55gr nosler bt in my sako bear in mind its had a custom barrel measures 2.097 & 50 nosler are 2.0935. The tikka measure 2.020. Using 60gr vmax allot shorter than the sako. 55noslers in the tikka are 2.007 showing a significant difference. At the mo the Sako is out performing the tikka chucking out a nice 0.89 group at 310yds on Sat evening, only 3 shots mind. So load wise they pretty good. These are measured from the ogive using a hornady OAL gauge

permission for a deer rated caliber 308 6.5x55 etc ??
Dougy replied to M.A.Gnun's topic in General Shooting Matters
Your FLO sounds like he's a YTS you dont need a DSC. to shoot Deer, all though what you do after you shoot it,assuming you shoot it when you cant get to the abatoir, say for instance a Sunday. Then you could possibly be wasting a carcuss due to your inexperience in preperation. Or just put in for a 30.06 and be done with it. -
And will still have a warranty. I am just wating for one I bought from a chap off here to be returned from Leopold, I sent it to them for a clean and they told me a service, so I assume it should come back in tip top condition

Your choice, you need to look fot , Mag capacity Ease if use, Mount prices, Length, Weight, Cost, maybe Left or right handed What it's appearance to you, do you like the look of it. There aren't many out there that wont be good shooters. I have an Annie but that was bought from a practical point only. It does a job. .

Just borrow them till they've had some babies then take them back. I have a load of minnows in my little water feature and I need to restock the Dove with a few, just doing my bit for the environment.
