  1. Sorry no i have been on a few but never owned one, If it hurts then eye wear protection. It doesnt have to be a shotty pellet, a Bumble bee could cause you to loose your sight thats a dam site heavier than a pellet.
  2. What the If thats as close to word for word as the FEO said, i would question there position as FEO. sounds a bit of a #lonker
  3. whats the spread going to be at 300 yds you will be lucky to hit a car at that distance, even if it does it will only be like fly hitting the car.
  4. Out last night on the freshly cut fields, Mr Fox trotting accross the field, i expected some would be out on the fields late evening and i wasnt dissapointed. Shot at about 21.55 i didnt need the lamp as there was enough light to see. This was again after a call from a local farmer complaing about the Fox doo doo in the cattle feed,

    1st Rifle

IAm sure you know the befifits of both cals, plus one simple difference one,s noisy and one aint. There will be times when the benifits of one out weigh tbe other, regarding bouncing bullets, yes the 22 will bounce more often, how far will it go just check whats behind the target,as all should as a matter of course.
  7. Frenchie i found the exact same thing only i was recording the time's and dates on a trial cam, We had our eye on one Fox that showed signs of damage on its right shoulder (bullet damage possibly didnt look like mange, will poss post pics soon)possibly a vixen and a dog around the same area and simalar times. We had been baiting up for about a week and went out an hour before the expected time for both to appear, but no show. We baited up for the next few days but only had Badgers taking the bait and the odd carion, but no sign of the 2 Fox's,. The crops are too high at the moment so they are safe for the time being. But answer to you question :- dont know but its happened to me too

  14. Its something that for luckily the majority of us will never understand. They believe very strongly there religion or call it what you will, i was talking to one of there followers some years ago trying to understand why or what they believe, why they do what they do. After some time i was begining to wonder what or why they are told by there seniors to me seemed utter tosh, but to them they are right and everyone else in the whole world is wrong. Just imaging some of us who will put there life on the line and argue that black is white & night is day, its what they are told from an early age and unfortunatly its what they believe and to them they are correct. We got rid of the lad ASAP

  16. Weather your into full bore target shooting out to 1000 mtrs or shooting low powered air guns people strive to get the best accuracy out of what tools they have at hand, how they do it and which methods it doesnt matter What matters is they try. There will be times it wont do anything what so ever,so, we had a go. Sometimes we improve our goal by improving our own confidence.
  17. If you are intent on washing your pellets then try the following process. wash in detergent to remove any oils muck on the pellets rinse and place on a towel to dry - aid using a warm oven rinse again in a stong solution of car-wash and wax, drain and leave to dry. you can feel the coating on the pellets.
