Its a gamble and if it went wrong would be unthinkable. I think we should keep our heads down and on the quiet get our nuclear defences as impregnable as possible if it can be done. Which I suspect it can not

Sad to see it consigned to history. Just a reminder of when the country side seemed a much healthier place wildlife wise and in general

I was walking the dog a few months ago and there is a high bridge over a busy main road with an over taking lane. As I walked over it there was a copper on it with his motor bike hid and he was literally peeping around the corner with his speed gun down onto the road. I couldn't help but shake my head. I saw him there another two or three times. I did notice on my recent renewal there was a question have you have any speeding fines so I assume it has some bearing on a renewal

I will take that please

Well fair play no issue and nice call from the man him self for a chat and license here 3 weeks before old one expires. Top job really

Ukrainian gives citizens the right to bear arms.

Quite some thing seeing civilians picking up guns and planning to take on trained soldiers. Lots of courage being shown. So sad to know what may happen to them and fingers crossed it doesn't -
Putin announces 'military operation' in Ukraine.

I feel sorry for the soldiers on both sides. The weaponry at play not that I know much about must be devastating -

Nothing is beyond the realms of possibility now sadly. Who would have thought a virus would sweep the world and you wouldn't be allowed to go out side other than exercise in the UK. The less we do the better and just shut up and mind our business unless threatened in my book -

Can't be leave any one actually cares which way up a bird is being carried on a cartridge box in case it offends any one. Also don't see why we should kowtow to the people against our various sports for fear of offending or upsetting them. There minds are made up. I used be able to walk through the village with a few rabbits on my shoulder. I tried it a few years back with a shovel ferret and lurcher and got stopped by the police with in twenty minutes as some one reported me. Police lady was good as gold and said you know what some people are like. Wife had the car at the time so shanks pony it was that day. Sad sad times for the country sports. My grandson was born this week bless him and do hope I get to show him the country sports like longnetting and ferreting plus all the joys of shooting before it all goes out the window. Oh and fishing the list is endless

Longthorne Guns - Faults and Terrible Customer Service
captainhastings replied to Duffryn's topic in Guns & Equipment
If they had got in sooner they could have turned it too there advantage and an example of good customer service and there by an advert for there guns. But that window has passed I think now it is more about recovery. Unless they just don't care -

I think tgs did a video over in france or some where. Some guy had a gun made for him and the choice of wood was very thoroughly graded and tested and I think they gave it a good soak test as well to make sure it handled it -

Gwent police renewal times?
captainhastings replied to sandspider's topic in General Shooting Matters

Or would he had the vaccine and keeled over with a blood clot. Seems a gamble which ever way you go. Any way if he had got that toe nail sorted he would been fine

Yard security saving to sd card and being able to connect to it with mobile and view recordings . As for the POE as you know just lenght of cat 5 to a plugin injector. Just easier to supply power
-
Can any one recommend a wifi camera that also acts as a stand alone wap to connect to so it doesnt require internet ? Preferable POE too but not essential for outdoors Thanks

Tested my jacket fishing last night. I was switching between low and medium as needed and a good 4 hours only used half a battery. Very impressed. Made the session a pleasure where as my cousin was freezing his tits off
-
Just curious how are you meant to do that ?

I saw a bloke mention on fb. Say you shoot at 20 pigeons you kill half you have basically scared half away by non lethal means. Is that not good enough of non lethal means ? My shooting gets about as non lethal as you can get. I thought he had a good point. You could argue you missed them on purpose I often make that claim lol

Well seeing as you folks seem happy with them usb jackets I ordered one today my self. I do a lot of fishing down the beach and it is all ways cold down there standing about

Green mold on external wall
captainhastings replied to captainhastings's topic in Craft and DIY Section
Thanks folks for the ideas plenty to go at. The yard is below the level of the ground at the back and all three walls are like that where water comes through. I should have known 8 quid paint was not going to cut it. I will treat it with one of the suggestions and then maybe repaint it with a decent paint in spring -
