    Conifers

We had loads of leylandii that was out if control, very harshly cut and it greened up fine, in this hot weather water well to help its recovery.
  2. Painting parts before assembly can be the winning idea on some kits . Scalpel is a must.
  3. You can only take a caution if you admit the offence. It has to be an offence defined in law as well. Nothing else counts. It also documented and held forever on file should it meed to be questioned, an authorised by a copper of inspector rank, he/she won't risk 20+ years if their life to make up a caution.
  4. When r u running for pcc then Dekers, after all you are clearly superior to every copper in the land. On a serious not the firearms data base is restricted and access audited. pnc show u r a licence holder but not what guns or conditions. Carry a copy or the cert and get over it. Your are not special. And as we are all human I can assure you that whilst dealing with you with respect and also regard to the law it maynot go down well if u tell me my job, in the last decade I have yet to encounter any one outside of it that can do it. Also I didn't always do this job so don't suppose I have no experience elsewhere. As for this topic hasn't it gone on long enough.
  5. Springs wear out eventually, not used snap caps for a very long time and never seen the need, if it makes u warm inside then buy some, if not don't lose sleep about it as at some some point u will have to replace the springs anyway (normally a very far away point in the future).
  6. You doing the lottery this week as well?
  7. Nice ou for that price is easy to find with a single trigger, easy to clean and easy to use. Too many to list but I'm sure you will get something that fits
  8. Brasso do a metal polish, takes seconds, my lanber is the same this time of year. Toothbrush to get the awkward bit, keep away from blueing but never had an issue myself.
  9. Never had an issue even without a net and just standing still, seem to remember shape shine shadow silloett follwoed by movement and noise was drummed into me. Dpm has some material that disrupts ir as well but as I'm not hunting men or being hunted by one I wont Worry. Interesting all the same especially as the yanks wear day glow red shirts and hats and still hunt perfectly ok, having worn normaly washed clothing as well every other person on here and still stalked rabbits, crowd, pigeons and a few other things its. A marketing ploy if ever I saw one.
  10. Had a really good day on a field when similar happened to me, give it a go
  11. That's exactly what I posted, in certain circumstances. As they are designated the chief officer can confer powers to them as he likes.
  12. Read the up dated pace guidance and not the news papers, u will see that in certain circumstances they have the power of warrantedbconstables.
  13. We sold all the harriers to the yanks for spares. There are no tornados out there. The typhoon is not there either. Just c130's and a few attack choppers. Maybe the odd troop transport and a few drones as well.we rely heavily, almost exclusively on the yanks My facts are right. Edited for the auto correct.
  14. Cyc and 1/4 for me tends to do the job everytime. Should I push the range or change the species I can change it but never found it makes much difference.
  15. Cat or dog food, make some holes in thr tin and pop it out there, they can't carry it away and take their time trying to get their ratty teeth into it. They can smell it from quite a distance as well.
  16. If not a pattern plate then A big cardboard box does the job. My lanber was very flat when I tested it. My trusty old biakial used to throw it a bit high.
  17. Would never expect to use someone else's ammo especially if they laid on the shooting already. Madness
  18. 2 lumps of cement dropped on sea. Not too far from a massive reef. That's what it should read, better than 2 harriers full of nasty non inert chemicals and metal crash into sea and the death of two elite pilot's. Before we knock them remember they are the ones saving our soldiers lives daily in afghan whilst we don't have an air force out there.
  19. I normally walk between the hedge and where the rabbits are and keep is slow and steady, as above aim for the feet. Failing that hide in the hedge and used an air rifle, perfect for rabbit'ss. Anyone u know with ferrets? Great fun bolting rabbits. Not the hardest thing to hunt but wouldn't say the easiest either. To really clear them out someone with ferrets in the winter is your best bet
  20. If the cars taxed and insured it won't happen. My experience is not taxed and insured there are normally other offences as well and that puts my insurance up.
  21. I've heard they shoot low. Test point of impact to where u are aiming and see. Might need a cheek piece to alter your aim.
  22. A considerably larger amount of people get killed by cars, maybe we should ban those as well not to mention the birds hit by cars or deer cats dogs etc etc. Ban them all, strict licencing so no criminals can use them, conditions on the usage, closed licence ie only allowed out on Sundays with a vicar as a passanger. Or have a dose of reality and realise that 800 incidents out of millions of air weapons is statisticly nothing.
  23. If that was the case nothing would ever be invented these days
