  1. Cyl and a quarter for me everytime with 30g 6 or 7 shells, fine out to 40 yards and I haven't noticed a difference apart from being harder to hit with tighter chokes. Every gun and shell combo is differnt so test your pattern, cardboard boxes are good for this if you can get one big enough. My farmer friend uses full and full with no.5. Shot and swears by it.
  2. Rod, brush, kitchen roll and gun oil. Takes minutes and prevents problems.
  3. Air rifle all day, head shot and it will be lights out.

    Hedgehogs

Found one like this and took it to a mate of mums, antibiotics and rest was the cure, re homed it at mums and now have a slug free garden and a very tame hog that comes out daily to see what's going on . Bit off pitting when it climbs over your feet under the garden table.
  5. You can never cover all the bases, good effort though.
  6. Could be an assistant caretaker, has a lot if time on his hands.

    TV Licence

You also need a licence for a radio, the black and white licence used to cover it.
  8. Lessons and plenty or practice, took me a long time to convert from rifle shooting, can switch between the two easily. Pratice practice practice. And ignore the bead, watch the bird.
  9. I would be dead, I don't need it anymore take what you like. No good looking pretty in a coffin.
  10. A trapper told me on the last stand I was behind or over or under etc you get the pic, taking the advice of a thread on here I gave him half a box and took the buttons from his hands, he missed every one. Made me chuckle no end listening to his excuses.
  11. How about a half way house? Help to get off drugs for the users and the death penalty for the pushers alongside a slash and burn foreign policy for where its grown? Jobs all round and will keep this forum going for years......
  12. Once changed the fuse in an unplugged Hoover that stopped working, gave me an almighty shock that left my hand numb for a couple of hours. Spoke to cousin who is an electrician and he said it wasn't unknown for thr things to store a charge and discharge it, he thought the motor might have been responsible for it. All I know was the thing was tossed out in minutes and a shiny new one bought the next day. Monitors and tv's also have a large capacitor that needs discharging if u work on them, in the region of 20k volts stored. Motto is don't mess with electrics.
  13. Take a step back and step on his foot . Always works for me.
  14. Just get out and have a walk round, bet you get to shoot something and better than being coupes up.
  15. A gentle breeze, blue sky and two young rabbits that I pan fried less than 2 hours later with salad from the garden. Apart from the bottle of red and a nice blonde (that I just happen to have) I can't see what else I'm missing.. Role on harvest and the pigeons.
  16. Police don't get rewards for handing out tickets, certainly not any monetry value. Most cops don't like traffic matters and words of advice suffice unless your bang to rights and show no remorse or there are other offences apparent. The exception to this is a traffic officer who can and normally will ruin your day as that's his day job between fatel accidents or when there is a local drive against certain offences in the area. Personally I hate fixed cameras and would prefer more traffic officers patrolling as they can respond to other things and have some common sense as well unlike cameras that run out of storage and ggive police a bad image, especially as the cameras are nothing to do with the police.
  17. Always found small hooks work best as they suck it in and out, anything not bread related and they spit it out double quick, great fish to catch as they really do fight hard.
  18. Don't worrt Blanca, they can evidence al that and more, you can have a day in court as well but expect the fine to be bigger. Btw police don't get the cash, central government does personally I hate the cameras.
  19. Crikey, the nsa and gchq are doing their jobs, shocking especially as they are all civil servants. Whatever next? Personally I'm not shocked or bothered, they are there to spy, hardly eyewatering news when they get caught doing it.
  20. That's is nice and smooth and regular, no bits to infukence the pellet when it leaves the barrell, from memory I think they are set back slightly so that will be unlikely. My first port of call would be the silencer and scope if fitted as the 80 is quite tough. Pellet wise mine wasn't fussy but some are.
  21. Rats. Try blocking the holes and see what happens
  22. What about a few strips of that sticky draught excluder? Like the furry one not the rubber strip, vet that would sort it in minutes, no tools and cost penny's.
