  1. Somerset and Avon ask me for the name and address of each farm together with contact details of the farmer. They do go out and look some times, but have no idea of the boundaries. If they check on the national register the framer may have bought or sold some land since it was registered. If I send in a 646 form they want it signed prior to checking but if i call in they will check whilst on the phone. Its all a bit random from what I can see. Advice from BASC to me was to make the application with only one perm to get it approved and then go back with other land as if there are a few it could delay approval.
  2. This is truly great. What else do you draw / paint. Hats off to your talent.
  3. I have a sub 12 Huntsman its superb. Light and easy to handle a dream to shoot. Broke the bolt droping it in the bath (it was empty and i needed the window) but other than that like a dream. Its 177 and the pellets are a bit fiddly.
  4. I can shoot Canada Geese inland under GL4 damaging crops but I must use non toxic and it must be between Sept1 and Jan 31st. Even though damage is occurring outside of these dates they cannot be shot under that licence and I would need to apply for a licence under AO8. Is this correct?
  5. I leave them on the floor just make sure they are right side up. Leave a killing ground in the middle of pattern thats an easy drop zone for approaching birds. No deeks looking in your direction and well spaced rather than looking like pigeons at feeding time. Be where the birds want to be not where you prefer. Sun behind you if you can, make the quarry look at it rather than you. Make sure you don't cast a shadow on the hide nett, black back drop will help. If birds are approaching high half a roof may help and sit back in the hide under it. Leave space between you and the front of the hide to avoid shadow outline. Don't move on approach only when you go to shoot, look with eyes rather than head. Make movement deliberate and timely rather than snappy and rushed. Try to be as in the hedge line as possible rather stuck in front of it (not always an option).
  6. The Salt and Malt just opened (just over a year ago) the other side of the lake. £6.95 fish and chips the attached restaurant has a three week waiting list for weekends. Place is rammed. Quality product at a premium price. Staff are mostly students.
  7. Realistic where? In the field I would be over the moon with an inch group. Off a rest I would expect better,
  8. Excellent rather random maybe eclectic post modernist presentation.

Its not panic its a possibility and has to be factored as it could be worth an awful lot. The ones that get it right will make a few bob. I hope its my pension fund on the ball.
  11. I have a restricted ticket and I have to fill in a 686 form to get the land checked. Even if its cleared I have to get the form in so that they can add it to the list of my approved places. Its probably easier to persevere with the calls but might be worth sending one in anyway/ If you have an open ticket its up to you.
  12. Hi Rob I am out in Chew Valley will try and pop in. Good luck with the new venture.
  13. Arrived to meet a new farmer today with 750 acres very nice farm not too much mud. Shot over spring wheat just sown and had 60 assorted black between the two of us. Out in the sun it was a lovely day with only the horse exercising behind to interrupt. Back in the morning as the farmer was sowing grass with barley today under the rookery so should be some decent sport. Very soon the maize will be going in so things will get hectic although one of my farms is still planning on a barley field even though its a bit late.
  14. Just received a reply from my MP Jacob Rees Mogg the bill is in committee stage so many changes ahead are likely. Both the police and interested parties are to be consulted as the statutory guidance is developed. He has made representations to Theresa May on my ( ) behalf. Thats that sorted then
  15. They both have the same muzzle velocity and are super accurate. The Daystate has a much smother and lighter trigger so I am able to get tighter groups with it. I need more time with the rimmy as I have only put 500 through it, but because I have more confidence in my shooting with the Daystate than the CZ its tended to be my go to rifle so far. I do want to get to know the CZ better though as its so much lighter and should, when i get used to it, be better at range.
  16. My new rings came (not at £2 for ten) and with the help of the video and a little fiddling about with the small holes my new rubber is working well.
  17. Excellent a rifle to be proud of it looks great.

Where is the content?? Free trade area??..He must be having a laugh. Goods sold win the EU would have to comply with the standards of the EU which the UK could not set and would still have to pay to EU coffers to access, a fund the UK could not use. The level playing field of the single market would be gone for the UK and any differences we would make would be paid for a trading time. If the UK is not in the free trade area Foreign Direct Investment will be lost. There are no free trade agreements with the EU for financial services our biggest export. I would like to see more about the impact a UK exit would have on the EU. Maybe it would implode at some point or be forced into radical change something a number of EU leaders are pushing for.
  19. Maybe in very traditional households but I would say less likely these days. Having many friends in Athens and spending much time there I see little evidence in the clubs and bars. Or who have never worked. The same rights for all is what we would expect in another country. If the UK chooses to be so generous and this attracts mass migration then the issue is our generosity rather than the migration. Surely the issue is the higher levels of employment in the UK attracting migrants? This migration keeps our wage rates down makes our products more competitive and creates more jobs. A dangerous circle of destruction for the migrant issue. THe UK needs to look at its welfare state yes but it does not need to be out of the EU to do this.
