I was using one today for 54 birds posted earlier. They are great. Avoiding making a crow warning noise is the second challenge. Today I had birds flighting in the field over and used the caller to get them to look in my direction to see the deeks.

My son is married to an American. She cant stay here without a visa and she is on her third at about £800 a go. At the next renewal she can get permanent residence but I think she has to pay around £1200. If you follow the system living here seems a lot more difficult than arriving by boat.

Great tool for the job and a good day out. I want one. I have just got a perm that is restricted to the farm buildings where the black ones will be a little later in the year. Looks to me like this is the gun to get. I was wondering about just using sub sonics. The semi is pretty noisy in confined spaces and subs might be little better? Never used them though and dont know if they would be more difficult with lead being used to normal shells?

Out on the barley today what a cracking day even had to take my coat off. I was on this field the start of last week back today I thought it might be quiet but was surprised to see a few birds there when I set up. 54 shot and 50 picked assorted blacks. The field is not far from a rookery and I had a steady stream of birds over three hours until it dried up. I had to chase one down to the river behind me and shot it as it tried to swim. They dont swim so well and even less so when they are carrying some lead . I would have picked that one too but my wellies are not tall enough to cross. A couple made it to the far fields only to fold after a few hundred metres so they were left too. Using the last of my Eley pigeon select and glad to see the back of them. I am sure they are ok but they don't suit me. Back on with the special pigeon 32g no6 which work well on the tougher birds. Only a week or so now and its out for the roost shooting and i have a few places lined up to have a go at.

If you live abroad in the EU or Commonwealth state or government pension is index linked as part of the European Economic Area (EEA). If we pull out and want to tackle migrants then it follows that we would close down the EEA social security reciprocal finance arrangements.

Give me cattle any time but horses no thx. One of my farms has polo ponies on the track that I have to drive down. The track is split with electric wires dividing the ponies in groups. They wont move for anything. The farmers wife showed me how to make a halter with my arms over the ponies lol no way am i doing that. There are four pones in each block so one halter is about as much use as a chocolate teapot. I would rather walk the long way around than go through.

Cripes this makes for some desperate situations. I share one farm on occasion with a rifle shooter who once lined up on my deeks (with me behind ) but we sorted that and all is ok. I am Chair of Bristol 12 bore club we have 30 plus members and I also invite others to come out with me on my perms it amazes me that so many shooters can shoot so infrequently and at the same time read about the conflicts in this post. It does not make sense. Maybe thats why I shoot mostly crows rather than pigeons unintentionally avoiding conflict.

I am not sure of the focus range of these things it could be the lens is quite wide angle. This sort of thing and I have seen cheaper too.

Even the cheap zoomable ir torches (850nm 5w) will give you 50m of light for air rifle ranges

Free Fibre Cartridges to Shoot
oowee replied to TIGHTCHOKE's topic in Bullets, Cartridges and Reloading
Figgy and Motty I have read these posts again and I cant see anything about shooting skills or otherwise. Sometimes with this stuff its easy to see something and read something else lol. I have just sent George an e mail as I am going to need some soon. Not sure he delivers down here (just south of bristol). -
Fantastic what a great job you have made of this. You do know its a keeper? Too much work to let it go. Well done.

I had a few of those too but only allowed one at a time

Free Fibre Cartridges to Shoot

But I guess you appreciate that there is a difference between cartridges and that often the same shell can be a two different price points? Then surely if someone is producing good quality product at the price you might pay for inferior shells then we all want some? Not bothered about the free shells myself but I use a lot and anything that gets a better shell at a lower price is good for me. -
Seems to me that whatever happens at some point the thing will have to change. Some sort of monetary union for the euro currencies seems inevitable. Trade deals with big partners are never easy for the smaller partner however large they think they are. This is particularly true of energy security where a sharing grid looks to be vastly more cost effective than trying to build contingencies as an island nation. Maybe not in the current format but some way or another I think we need the strength that comes from a co-operative group.
