My first application was for a rented flat in Bristol. No problem. Then I moved to a house then back to a rented flat. Each time they just did the usual stuff.

Guns are worth to some one what they are prepared to pay. Either way it's just a few quid. I recently bought a hilux and recognising I had bought a bag of carp I traded at a big loss (ouch ouch ouch) four weeks later. Life's too short to spend time p.......g about get on and enjoy it if you can. Whilst some can spend days thinking and waiting others are out shooting. :-)

Interesting chat in pub last night with Germans and some people from Netherlands. The Germans were happy with the recent immigrants as Germans would not do the work and with an ageing population they needed the tax to pay pensions etc. The Dutch said they had recently voted against a support package for Ukraine and expect it to lead to an in out referendum at some point. They all wanted EU reform.

Recently saw some excellent footage with a shot cam on YouTube and thought what a useful tool lets get one. Then I saw the price!! Anything else out there more reasonable? I like the aim mark feature

Very useful report I have now found a useful gun shop in Midsommer that has a good range of bullets so want to try out a few different types. I can't understand why there does not seem to be a range of energy full length shells running at 1050 fps? I have been using up some ammo to make space to try a few more rounds including some hyper velocity stuff. What is the fastest .22 lr round?

Just finishing up a four day trip to Berlin. Last night was on the top of the Bundestag with its beautiful dome and mirrored light well and realised we had taken zero pictures this trip. What would we do with them if we took them just more tat cluttering the place up.

Good luck LG. At least you don't have to work in Government like I did. That's real work, lucky to even see the snow let alone walk in it.

Last week I was asked to shoot over some barley. The fields were the smallest I have ever seen planted. Maybe one to one and a half acres picking the birds was a nightmare. Anything traveling at speed had a good chance of coming down the other side of a hedge. Fortunately I did not shoot that many. If I see it fold it's one on the counter.

PBS on pigeons is 45. PBS on crows was 117 on grass seed. Off to Africa end of May and hoping for a pb on lots of different species. I used to think 5 birds made a good day then 20 and so on. Now a good day is weather company views etc. still count the numbers though.

Would you want to know where your sausages came from?
oowee replied to spandit's topic in Food and Drink
I just ate a curry wurst here in Berlin. My guess was that the sausage had never seen any animal product during its manufacture it was carp. I thought berlin would be fab for sausage! One of my farmers makes his own and we get all of ours from them. -
They parked next to my place and I gave them some eggs and had a chat. They were nice people and showed me their wagons quite ingenious.

I had one where they did not want me to shoot rooks only the crows. I find it nigh impossible to tell the difference till they were dead on the ground. I spoke to the Agronomist and he had a word and now I shoot all the black stuff except raven of course.

In a former life my job was to move them from council land. Not the most pleasant job. The human waste left in a factory unit was ..........not nice. I live in the country now and last year a couple of horse drawn wagons pulled onto the common. They were two families with houses in the Black Country on holiday in these wagons. They were really nice and explained how they had gypsies throwing stones at them at Weston so they had decided to travel back via the country and it would take them a week to get back.
