I think maybe you need to take another look. Plenty of abuse going on. Don't get me wrong I am all for defence but it has to be proportionate and it should protect the innocent. I was out on Friday night to shoot some rabbits, and a couple of troublesome foxes. I brought a few rabbits home (around a dozen) and put them at the back on the camping platform at the top of the field. Yesterday saw at least three buzzards tucking in being disturbed by an occasional kite. An impressive spectacle. Last night whatever was left was providing a smorgasbord of delights for the local foxes. Interesting to see some eat on the spot and others carry stuff away. I wonder what a fox will do for the rest of the night if your belly is full within the first couple of hours.

Then we wonder why there is no solution to the problem. Just because it's not happening does not detract from it being the right thing to do. There needs to be a consistent long term solution that has hope as part of the equation. If the US is a true super power then it needs to act like one and insist on change.

This. The US economy is currently posting record performances. Trump's support for Putin his fawning over Orban, and his misogyny would rule him out for me, regardless of his politics. Add in his desire to move the US to a dictatorship and it's clear that much of the US population is easily led, unless of course they see China as a model for the future.
