  1. I said to Mrs BTJ at the beginning of this lockdown it would extend beyond the 2nd, I said once they announced they were sending students home early theyd be kicking the kids out from school early and I said I wouldn't be surprised if they tried to make the vaccine mandatory. I'm not surprised.
  2. True. Lovely house, perfect location, exactly what I want unfortunately theres no westerly facing internal wall where my grand piano can sit. 🙈 I didn't do our viewings and I'm very glad!
  3. @Lloyd90In the big fridge! its been as warm as 20 degrees here locally in the last 3 or 4 weeks so no way would Id leave anything outside. We used to always use October as the start date to do home Slaughter on the lambs because it was usually below 7 degrees but the weather would definitely be against me this year if I didn't have a fridge.
  4. Deer are usually skinned and chilled within hours of being shot and butchered the next day. Before I had a big upright fridge theyd be quartered and put in the little fridge. I did hang a roe doe in the skin for 5 days last week because I didn't have time to skin it. Pheasant the same day or next day depending on time.
  5. So many occasions I could mention. Waited in all day on my only day off for someone to come and try a horse, they arrived 4 hours late, I said ill just get my boots and be with you in a second hes in the field if you want to see him, they walked over to him, decided he was the wrong colour and were back in the car and going as I came out literally 3 minutes after they arrived having driven from miles away.
  6. Hahahahahaha I match your car buyers and raise you horse buyers! Now those people invented wasting your time!
  7. I've just recently finished working on a project implemented by 2 separate government bodies, delegated to local conglomerates who form their own private companies. The directors of these companies get paid for their work and then delegate their work down to subordinates who in turn are responsible for a group of workers. The workers are paid piece meal. Never mind the left hand not knowing what the right was doing there were left hands, left feet and left testicles doing completely opposite things to the right! Now that was some beaurocratic nonsense! It will be a miracle if the workers get paid before Xmas.
  8. I've got half a dozen cured fox brushes for sale on a taxidermy group on Facebook. Theyre £25 each apart from the top two which are £20. I've also got a fallow pricket skull cap and shield for £40 A small fallow skin and a goat skin for £50 each. Postage can be combined for multiple items. The brushes are free postage but the other stuff will be around £7 at a guess.
  9. Pete it says on the box 5-18X Heres a picture of the scope
  10. Accidentally managed to buy this and an X sight 2 off a certain auction site. So im going to keep the Mk2. Apparently the bloke got it and never used it. Its arrived and I've checked it and it seems to be in full working order and it definitely hasn't seen much work if any. Haven't tried all the doohickeys and thingymebobs on it but I've no reason to believe there's anything wrong with it. Its got a couple of what I'm guessing are dovetail to weaver adapters that attach to your dovetails like scope mounts. I'd like to get back what I paid for it which was £400 ono.
  11. West mercia say 10 without additional security BUT they count moderators as guns so 5 rifles & 5 mods and you're at 10.
  12. 2yr old barren Roe doe shot 6 days ago, fat as butter, hung for 5 in the fridge because I was too busy to skin her, skinned and butchered yesterday, tonight roast chump/rump/top end of the leg whatever you want to call it with the bone in, 45 minutes in a hot oven with lots of salt and pepper on top. Melted in your mouth. My toddler was running in and asking for deer meat as soon as it came out the oven. She loves it.
  13. A decent pickled onion takes some beating! My mum is renowned as a horrendous cook, she'd burn water, that was until she discovered preserve and pickle making. Turns out her desire to salt everything to within an inch of its life and use strange and powerful flavours means shes very good at making pickles.
  14. Yeah they're pretty good and not heart breaking if some knob decides to take one for a walk.
  15. I need a little air rifle for round the sheds to knock over some rats. With a toddler about I'm not keen on poison or traps! Don't want to spend the earth on something that won't get much use apart from this job and the odd magpie in the garden.
  16. No way that camera retails anywhere for £80. I took a punt on one the same for £20 from somewhere i can't remember. Theyre naff. For £40 or so you can get a vincture camera off amazon which are a much better camera.
  17. He said something about not going to the garage in the morning.
  18. FIL got one from Charlies a few years back. I've split some big rounds with it but its seriously heavy to shift off road or lift into my truck. Its good just a bit slow on the down strike.
  19. Got some green garden cane home made quad sticks. Never used sticks up until a few months ago when a job came up that demanded we do an accuracy test off sticks. How I've managed without them all this time ill never know.
  20. Bet its **** fir ringing people off 😂 I've got the poor relation the A71 which is a good phone but it is awful to make a call on! I regularly hang up on people with my cheek!
  21. What I dont understand is why he didn't get a snack round the back of the head by his mother the first time she walked into his bedroom to clean up his crusty pants and saw the posters on his wall? I'd probably get clattered by my mum now and I'm 32!
  22. If they poke the nest enough to get a reaction they can then use it to say what terrible people trump supporters are.
  23. They do seem to have an unbridled access to machine guns, hand guns and explosives which would align with that Scully.
