Then he gave bloke behind us a telling off for being where he 'shouldn't' have been.

He saw sense in the end to be fair.

Kegworth and Orston for me today with Timps and Canthitathing :good: Cracking day out and both layouts very shootable and barely affected despite it blowing a bit today

Finished up on an 81 at Kegworth and a 77 at Orston

Timps did a sixty something at Kegworth then a cracking 82 at Orston

Canthitathing was 66 at Kegworth and 77 at Orston - brilliant for his first couple of registered comp's :good:

Orston for me today too :good:

Firstly the ground looked fantastic as always and even the new area at the back of the banking was super tidy too

You don't mind spending your money at this ground as it's obvious that a lot of effort goes into the place.

The targets were great today, tough enough in parts but fair and enjoyable to shoot.I slipped up on a couple of stands and the wind moved a couple of targets from where they were supposed to be,giving me a handful of losses that shouldn't have been ;):lol: finished with a 88.

Bumped into Nicky T and Timps(watch your fingers guys) but never saw Paulos, car trouble en route sounded like a good enough excuse for a lay in to me :good::lol:

Well done Chaps !!

I've heard very good reports about Orston, haven't shot it for years, was tempted to go there but settled for Barrow Heath instead, a tad closer at only 82 miles from home..

The targets were bouncing about a bit on the wind, started OK but had a couple of bad stands, finished on a fairly lacklustre 85, a bit disappointed that he's still putting on only 10 stands of 10, won't hurry back there.

You should give it a go again when you get the chance :good:

It's a fair trip for me down there, infact it's a fair trip for me anywhere to be honest,my nearest reg ground for sporting is Kegworth at 92 miles :o and the difference between the two grounds is vast to say the least, not just target quality, the whole thing

Shooters should be getting value for money these days and when you get 10 stands of five pairs or you feel as if traps have just been chucked out 'cos the guy 'setting' the targets has run out of ideas it makes you wonder why you bother putting the effort in to travel when there's little or no effort when you get there :hmm:

Had a very enjoyable day shooting Kegworth and then onto Orston with Nick T and canthitathing. :good:

Not too sure what was up with me at Kegworth I normally shoot quite well there but could only manage a 68 today just not confident at all :o .

We then went onto Orston where I bumped into Azzurri, Claybuster and even saw the ******* student. I have to say it’s the first time I have been to Orston and after today it will not be my last. Really lovely ground & pleasant staff but the thing I was most impressed at (apart from the bacon and egg butties) were the targets, just interesting & as Azzuri said tough enough in parts but fair and enjoyable to shoot.

I missed a couple to the wind & a couple to sloppiness that should not have been, but I just seemed more confident and composed ending up with an 82.

Managed a 24 ex 30 up on the moor top at the wensleydale shoot this evening, at the Carlton in Coverdale venue. 27 had won it but as he had gone home ,as is normal custom the two joint 2nd high guns of 24 took the prize. Thank you very much.It was quite wind affected but still very enjoyable. from Auntie. How did Marne do on the North Yorkshire shoot, Paulos ?

I shot the registered Sportrap at Manchester Clay Sports and had a thoroughly enjoyable day (again) with a few of the PW regulars.

I learnt my lesson from the last shoot and missing out on the money so this time entered the prize fund.

Ended up with 45 ex 50 and High Gun again but this time got some dosh for it

I can recommend this shoot to anyone at a loose end on a Wednesday, some very nice targets on the shoot today. :good:

Aye Top marks ! really enjoyed that, I think I shot a 40x ? which I thinks pretty good for me first go, I love the fact that all the targets are very hittable as a single but as soon those simo pair start up it's a different ball game ! :hmm: already looking forwards to the next one :good:

Keep watching peeps for a stunning score from Shugborough today :yes::yes::yes: and it was in B class :hmm::hmm: Which PW shooter could that be are you asking, who do we know who is in B class?? Only clue I'll give at the moment is that it's a long established member of the Manc mafia :yp:

I'll reveal all later on when they've got fed up of insulting each other over on Facebook.

Mr Potter (who shot a disappointing 84)

And it wasn't me

Timps won B Class today with a stunning 91 :good: Great shooting chap. I was joint 2nd in stenching B Class with 84, so we managed 1st and 2nd between us :sly:

Sandbag City

Whiskymac shot well too for a 78.

I thought it was a good shoot. Wasn't easy, I don't think there were any gimmie stands, had to think about all of them.

Lucky with the weather today, rained early, stopped while we were shooting and started when we'd finished and rained all the way home.

El Magnifico is back in the cash. £50 for Timps and £25 for me. 'Ave it....... :P
