My first car after passing my test was Ford Zodiac Mk2 - followed by my favourite car a Ford Zodiac Mk3 Executive auto -- very few about - single reclining front seats in Connolly hide - Wilton black carpet and 1" of underlay. From day it was made in 1965 it lasted 8 yrs till rust bug took front wings off and I scrapped it.

Mine was a black Astra GTE, 2 L - a flying machine with digital dash (used to switch it KPH to really impress the chicks. My favourite car by a long chalk - met its end due to a jcb on a country lane, I might have been going a little quick

My Astra GTE also met a similar fate - cornering was DEFO not an attribute to those cars!

My fave car I have owned - without a doubt my old Evo 6 :good: Still wish I had it now, but sold up for varying reasons, not least the fuel costs (hey, it was 'tinkered' with and had neigh on 400bhp so had to be driven) :D

Had some fun cars over the years but got to say the best to drive is without doubt my current E46 M3 convertible. Its a joy to drive wither your giving it some big revs or just trundling around in. The rasp from the straight six is just magic :) Would love to say the wind through your hair is great but since I'm a baldy bass I wouldnt know lol

Handsdown winner on here is the guy who had a 6R4!! That is what you call a fast car, granted dont think you would want to drive it around town lol but would love to have had the chance to be taken for a blast in the forest in one of them! Closest I got was getting my Impreza round a forest stage but dont think that would even come close!!

Being 22 i cant afford a proper quick car due to the insurance but I had a 2ltr focus petrol when i was 18 and absolutely loved it. It was my last petrol motor and loved thrashing the nuts off it. It was the zetec with big wheels so handled amazingly well for a 3 door family hatchback.

I feel sorry for the young uns nowadays with the cost of insurance. Zetec?

When I was younger I had an Uno SX, XR3i, and then an MR2  when I was @22. My first family car was a Golf GTi  Then I folded and bought a brand new Ford Focus as a proper family car. Although it was 1.8 Zetec with all the extras it was no Golf. After 10 years I've bought my first diesel car.

A4 S line 170bhp. :good:

Had a few nice cars over the years, once upon a time i could be tempted to change a brand new motor within 12 mnths on a whim. However i have run the Current Forester Turbo for 7-8yrs from new which says a lot about how much i like it and how well it suits me. The wife keeps talking about change but i love it to bits (some idiot bumped her New Audi the other week, i dont have such worries and have been known to move cows with it ;) ) Have gone through one weel bearing two sets of drop link bushes and replaced the battery out of good practice in 135k and a lot of very hard use. It eats tyres and drinks super plus unleaded though, we calls them scooby snacks

That your garage Matt?

or just another "hangar" you loiter in?

:shaun:

That was my car in JZMs showroom before I bought it.

Wanted a 911 by the age of 40, did it at 38.

Drove it to Le Mans, had it up to 148 mph, scared myself a few times. Never got done for speeding. Sold it after 6 months. Job done.

I've been tempted many times to do this. Stories of failing engines (many of them) has put me off 911's completely though. How much did you lose on resale if you only kept it for 6 months...? hehe

My favourite car...well only owned normal stuff but I had a Subaru WRX for a while which was fun, kind of miss it.

No fanatical car nut EVER loses on a car ;) ;) ;)

I bought from a dealer for that peace of mind. It did cost me a little during the "in and out" but it never blew up and never let me down.

Back in the 70's I bought myself an MG roadster in Old Englis White. Lovely little motor and a guaranteed crumpet puller. Trouble was one of the first bits of totty I pulled I ended up marrying. By the way it is possible in an MG. Not easy but possible.

Still regret selling it when we got married. :bye2: :bye2:
