Davyo
Awaiting FAC.Can I have any owners opinions on the CZ ZKM 452 Silhouette .22?I am looking at purchasing a combo outfit for rabbit control.
jgguinness
Hi mate, very similar position to yourself. Awaiting FAC coming through and I fancy a 22lr first, mainly due to noise limits and not alerting the whole neighbouring wildlife that your out shooting, unlike the 17hmr. I have thought about a CZ although the engineer and want for quality fancies a Sako Quad. Is it really worth while spending the extra sheets??? Luckyshot
Its what I have, had it around 5 years and its never missed a beat. Now currently fitted with an MTC Viper 4x16x50 scope and Wildcat Growler sound mod (shorter oal due to over barrel mod) and 1000 lumen Cree torch. Good for close rage shooting or use nv or lf 170 if longer range required. Its fed onwin subs and shoots better than me once I had fitted a trigger kit (£12) Edited April 8, 2012 by Luckyshot
30-6
I have the same one but in the nickel finish ( the style ). Get on well with it so got a .17 hmr as well in the same format. The actions are all identical ( the .17 is stamped American ),it is only the finish / stocks / barrel which change. Jolly
I lovew my quad but dont shoot enough to worry about re-zeroing after a barrel change in fact I kind of like re-zeroing I learn more about the gun every time i have to do it
gonk69
i have both the 22 and the 17 in this rifle, mate they are superb in every way, obviously there are better rifles out there but at a much greater cost, buy it you wont regret it, cheers matt
Dekers
If you can't stop a rabbit with a CZ then you cant stop a rabbit by spending a load more on another rifle! The simple fact is you will never need anything more than a CZ in the field, some just want something else, fine!

Love them and I like the build quality too.....after all they are for taking out and using, not putting on the mantlepiece....having said that they look ok too!! (I also prefer the feel of the CZ synthetic stock over the harder more brittle feel of the Sako.) BTW Luckyshot, what do you think of your Viper? Ive been looking for a replacement scope and these seem to get a good write up, but what are they like for real??!!

Zapp
A .22lr 452 silhouette with a SAK mod, bipod and a Hawke 3-9x40IR scope is my main rabbiting tool. I cant fault anything about it. A fantastic rifle.
