Paddy Galore!
Been thinking again, after todays norfolk flush i've come to the conclusion that i shot better with a browning than a beretta am i just kidding myself or has anyone else come across the same thing? cheers, gram. Northamptonclay
Always shoot better with browning or miroku , berettas are girls guns
XD2
From all accounts I have heard people generally prefer one or the other because of how they fit as standard. Pretty sure they have different stock shapes so it is likely you would shoot better with one over the other if it naturally mounted well. Of course I could be totally wrong :-)
BerettaSV10
Not really the cast on browning's and beretta's are different to each other, with the browning's being the streighter of the two, I shoot better with beretta's because of the cast they have. mr salt
both great guns pay your money take your choice. beretta fits me better , but i must say the older ones seem better made.(just the feel)
Scully
Have always preferred Brownings because I shoot better with them, and I prefer their looks, with a couple of exceptions;those being I shoot very well with a mates A303,and think the DT10 is one of the nicest designs going...not keen on the 686/7 series, but again that's just cosmetics. There's no denying they are very good guns. b16jus
Cant knock Beretta as they are fantastic guns and i own some, but i do shoot better with browning
triumphant59
Beretta's are quality shotguns made to extremely high spec by highly qualified and experienced gunsmiths, Brownings on the otherhand are made under licence in Japan by Suzuki using scrap metal from their moped factory. You takes your choice!

Blunderbust
Have to admit that I do prefer the Beretta guns, always have. Did try a few Brownings once and owned a Miroku for a year but always ended up back with Beretta.
gonk69
i have a berretta and love it, i hold a browning and it feels like i have some 4 by 2 in my hands, just my opinion, cheers matt
alros01
I've not tried a browning but I've had a miroku mk10 sporter and I've just got a mk38 sporter.ive had the beretta 686 sporting special and the silver pigeon I found the older beretta a better gun.much better made ive seen a few not very old berettas in gun shops with rust on the actions the last beretta I had was 28 years old and you would of thought it was not a year old it was that clean.i just think that the mirokus feel better in the hand and come up to your face better if you know what I mean
DAVE_B
Being pretty new to the sport, can't lend much to the discussion other than - I've heard that you are either a Browning or Beretta shot! I'm firmly on the side of Browning, it fits and I love the way it fits.
parapilot
Browning browning browning!!!!! I shot loads when buyin it, as soon as I picked up and shot the browning I was sold. Felt much better than the berettas on test. BUT it's personal taste. I find the Brownings better guns, but someone else may like beretta better. You need to shoot them both its useless asking us on a forum. You won't go wrong with either gun, both are good, it's all down to you. figgy
One suits some and the others others. But browning look like they're trying to get some of Berettas market with the stock shape and low action profile of the 725 so if they roll this out through the range it won't matter fit wise. I have had two Brownings and now have Beretta only because of fit, both make good guns Brownings wood looks nicer most times. Figgy

BerettaEELL
Brownings do suit the taller shooter, being 6'5" the "length of pull" is a key factor to me. I have shot a few berettas without too much trouble. How tall are you and is the LOP a reason for your improvement.
archi
Try a Belgium browning Not many guns touch them for handling Had a beretta eell but got on much better with a b25
tweedledee
beretta for me.... unless you go to a hand made browning you are really buying a badged miroku... good gun too mind...
Only1cliff
When picking my first gun, my budget was in the range of a Browning 525 and Beretta silver pigeon, i think the beretta is a nicer looking gun (prettier). But felt a little cheaper and i didnt shoot as well with it, where as the 525 felt great and i found i shot a lot better with it. I did try a good few other but came back to the Browning Edited November 26, 2012 by Only1cliff

bruno22rf
I loved the comment about Brownings being made by Suzuki but I cannot help but wonder who made the brand new SilPig I bought back in August. The wood seemed to have been fitted to the wrong action (it was really that bad) and the safety catch needed both of my thumbs to get it to move (my local Gunsmith reckons he has had quite a few with the same fault) so all in all I was not impressed.Returned it to the dealer and bought the new 525 as the Gd1 now boasts the engraving of the previous Gd3 and looks darned pretty as well as top quality.I loved the feel of the Beretta and would have kept it had the quality been on par with the price tag. How tall are you and is the LOP a reason for your improvement. i'm only 5'10" mate, i did go to a gunsmith to have it fitted, he said it already did so didn't require any work, i do find myself tilting my head over the comb a tiny bit though, there's no cast to the stock which is probably why. might just take it somewhere else just for a 2nd opinion. i know "near enough is good enough" to get started but it could be made to fit more comfortably. Brownings are for real men,Berettas are for the gays. is that why you have 2? Hamster
You'll find Beretta have won more titles / medals than Browning, probably ten times as much :yp: .
