fenboy
Had a look at a pea field this morning a not much about , but I decided to have a go for a couple of hours this afternoon anyway as I had nothing better to be doing. As there was a bit of a walk I only too the flapper and a few shells . Amazingly I had only been set up for a couple of minutes when a pair sailed straight in , I dropped them both but unfortunately one dropped into some wheat ,( I had given the dog a day off , thinking I would fetch him later if I needed to pick any birds) I knew it was dead so carried on shooting . Things were slow as expected but there was a steady trickle , I must say i shot poorly by my usual standards missing some very easy birds. I ended up with 21 which became 22 with a little good fortune . I was just thinking about packing up when a Fox popped out of the wheat only about 15 yards away carrying the pigeon I had lost earlier !! It had no idea I was there and I dropped it on the spot , it was a vixen in nice condition. Edited July 10, 2013 by fenboy

motty
Well done. I'm a bit envious - it's been a while since i've shot a fox, perhaps because i haven't been out after any. A great bonus to shoot one whilst decoying.
Darno
I went decoying and didn't see one pigeon, after about 4hours I noticed a fox stalking up on my decoys:-)
Pigeon sniper
You must be the only person who uses a fox for picking up haha
