henry d
2 1/4 oz no2 (american) copper plated lead winchester xx mag buffered full choke = silly distances. 36-50gm no 1 (UK) lead 1/4-3/4 choke = 35/40yds 28gm no 7 lead 1/4 choke = 15/20yds I would like to see what the hevi shot cartridges and choke combos the yanks use on coyote do to foxes. caeser
Never shot a fox with the shotgun, but I've shot wild boar with one. Using S.G.'s. So I'm pretty sure they'll do for a fox.
aris
AAA is the minimum for deer (when legally allowed to do so) - would think it would work for fox too.

They over penetrate if they hit the target as a fox is so much smaller than a boar.
caeser
They over penetrate if they hit the target as a fox is so much smaller than a boar. I'm not having that I'm afraid. They don't penetrate any more than a 222 or a 223 or a 243 if it comes to that, which all get used to kill foxes.
al4x
If you hit them they are very lethal but the pattern can be tragic, you are far better off with something between 1's and 4's
