Nice , but if you don't mind me saying buy a unhooking mat and have your photo taken holding the fish over it , if that flips and hits the ground chances are it will be dead, also if you have both knees to the ground it will not have as far to fall.

I will soon be having a week trying to catch one bigger than this .

I have a smaller sling mat for when fishing light , all the bits I need fit inside it , I just then sling it over my shoulder , it then also once folded up does me for something to sit on when on short sessions :good:

Brilliant photo's.....and I ain't a fisherman!

U.

Hit the nail on the head there, if I go off fishing for a while (when I actually do :sad1: ) people at work can't understand it, then they ask to see any pictures and see the attraction.

If I can dig them out later, I will upload some from last years trip.

Bit like shooting, it's not all about taking the shot.

One of my favourite fishing spots in Croatia

As you can see the water is a bit on the clear side, and very cold having gone in on more than one occasion

Into a half reasonable grayling, the story was we spotted a monster laying under a bridge, and we set out to catch it.

As it turned out this was the smaller fish laying next to it, but on a little 3 weight outfit anything feels big

Another favourite picture from there, went something like:

"hurry up we are going down the pub!"

"just one last cast, honest"

Thanks, his son had that one make into a birthday card for him.

Looking at them makes me want to get back out there, I pulled out this year as all the rivers were in flood :sad1:

Whereabouts in Croatia is it mate? It looks lovely and I can get to Split or Dubrovnic for next to nothing as mrs is a trolley dolly.

The first two pictures are from Risnjak National Park, the last one is on the river Kupa (Kupi) which forms the border with Slovenia, look up Brod na Kupi that is near enough

It's pretty much half way between Zabreb and Ljubljana about 100 k from either

It's the posh end of the country compared to the wild west where we go boar shooting

Those of you who are fisherman will recognise this fish and its significance and why it was both frustrating and wonderful to see my fiancé catch 3 when I only managed 1

Looks like a Bonefish to me. Might be wrong but if it is you are a lucky pair a they are not easy to catch and very sought after. I'v heard they can swim pretty quick too
