utectok
Good knife opinel but the best steel you will get on a pocket knife is fallkniven with a 3G powder steel. Laminated blade. Also uk legal in some models unbelievable edge and stays über sharp

lewis11
Bit of a cost, but either an EKA or a Boker patrol knife. I dropped one in a drain and 3 years later the drain was emptied and the knife was found in the bottom. It hadn't even started to rust
Salop Matt
If you want cheap then a carbon opinel No6 will be very sharpe, if you want to spend a little more an EKA No 8 or No 10 will serve very well, I have both and can vouch for both. norfolk dumpling
Had a Gerba for many years - cost $10. It's got a black composite handle and keeps a good edge. Don't know the model but saw one in a country clothing shop in Norwich last week.
kent
Buck Alfa crosslock twin blade folder is my favourite knife for deer with its drop point blade then sternum saw and gut hook on the other, what's a reasonable price though? Must have been through the hot wash in the dishwasher hundreds of times! The Opinel is a good knife in the carbon steel blade as regards its sharpness but the blade tarnishes badly and the wood often swells making opening and locking tricky when its got wet- don't put it through the dishwasher though!. 39TDS
Opinel, good edge, cheap as chips, carbon steel blades do rust. Boker Padre, bit dearer and a bit smarter but less maintenance. Gerber, better edge than the above and the latest one I own cost $20 in Oz. Heinnie Haynes is the web site you want. Just click on "best sellers" and choose any you fancy. Real good site, real good service and really good prices. It has become an addiction of mine
