kingnewport
Need some willies for the wife, shall I go for hunters or muck boots?
fenboy
If she is more concerned with looks the Hunters , if she is more concerned with comfort and warmth then Muckboots !

felly100
I bought the wife some muckboot Greta's. She loves them and so do her pals apparently.
figgy
Hunters after all she is a woman and looking good is what they all like. Nothing wrong with hunters, and they do some nice welly socks with fluffy tops so her feet will be nice and cosy Figgy

spanielchris
I'd never go near Hunter's again. Never had muck boots but have to be the better option!
hoggysreels
Ive Hunters ... couldn't be more pleased with them ... 5★
FalconFN
Splash out and get Aigle Parcours ISO, much better than both but pricey. I've just bought some for £110 but they will last longer than other boots. If your wife needs a willy what's wrong with yours?
grrclark
If she has anything other than a skinny leg then muck boots will be the only choice. Hunters all seem to be ridiculously tight around the calf.

Cosd
My wife tried Hunters and then the Aigles, and she chose the Aigles. The comfort and quality difference is quite significant.
chacotawas
There are a lot of female boots daily in use around here. I could be an authority on the subject if I took a blind bit of interest, which I don't( I tend to concentrate on jodhpurs). However, I've just asked my wife, my daughter and the yard manager what they think of Hunters and Muck boots and they say neither last as they should. The Hunters are more stylish but the Muck Boots are warmer, more comfortable. If you want practical ones that last it's Le Chameau but they're pricier. So, more or less what everybody else said. Scottoj18
Dubarry boots, at the best part of £300.. So when you go out after Christmas to get that new shotgun. You can say I did get you them boots

chrisjpainter
My wife tried Hunters and then the Aigles, and she chose the Aigles. The comfort and quality difference is quite significant. Another for Aigle. I wouldn't go near hunter wellies now. I have some Aigle Parcours and they're superb. I have pretty girly feet, and they're ideal for me!
chacotawas
I've just bought a pair of Dunlops from meanandgreen for £9.99. My kind of boot. In green too! You could get her twenty or thirty pairs of those instead of the Aigles or Le Chameaux.
rwade545
got the misses some dubarry boots 2 years ago ( went shopping for a set of boots for me :( and she ended up getting me to get her them) Wears them every day, goes to the office in them, walks the dog, out in the snow, goes the sports matches, church, pub and just about everywhere. She loves the look, and finds them far easier on the eye then other boots and very warm. She says they are best present I ever got her. Now I know its a lot of money for a pair of boots, but she has got more wear out of them then all the other shoes in her closet. Might be worth asking her if she needs rubber boots, or if leather ones would be better for her. They are more comfortable in my opinion, are warm and waterproof just so long as your not standing in a river all day. I have some Toggi boots that were around 100 for when on shoots. well made and farm more comfortable then hunters i also have. just another option.
