I have the M2 while it's very similar it's better in my opinion. They have fixed the stiff shell stop and it's a breeze to reload. The progressive comfort stock seems to be better than the comfort-tec stock. Anyone thinking of getting this gun.... Get it. It's wonderful hmmmm... if this is supposed to be the uk version of the ETHOS, why oh why didnt they fit it with the carbon rib.... or is that an optional extra??? The carbon rib is on the model called the Power Bore. Silver action, better grade of wood & of course the carbon rib. gedney Posted February 10, 2014 Report Share Posted February 10, 2014 snap got the same ,but 30" barrel used 4 boxes of 36 gram rc to run her in .seems fine ,but would not recycle 21 gram comp x carts last week,not to botherd though did not purchase it for shooting 21gram carts they were all they had at the clay ground. good gun thuough got the a300 outlander aswell. Just got the same gun 30" barrel ,wooden stock and forend, didnt want a "plastic one",bit old fashioned i guess,in the case it comes in what is the metal rod for? Heres my old dog, a 1974 Remmy 1100 with fixed choke skeet barrel, the blueing is shot, corrosion on the receiver (now patina), scratches galore, stock dinged, butt pad caked in mud (she doubles as a walking stick on occasion). However, internally shes all good, bore is clean, she never misses a beat and fits like a glove. And you know what? I have no aspirations for anything new or shiny, I love the thing! My bro has a new outlander and wont even take it out in the rain! The situation has been getting to me all morning and in English I'm terribly annoyed - Anglo Saxon doesn't bear thinking about. It boils down to abysmal customer service by Browning. I was charged some £7 each for the shims and the postage was a like outrageous sum. I will never need the No 1 or No 1R1L shims that come with the gun so if anyone is in desperate need for either one of these, sing out and I'll put it in he post. Much the same gun as far as I know, certainly the internals appear the same. I wanted a semi auto that was new, and felt like my beloved Wingmaster, but in synthetic. The 11-87 was about £675 brand new, I figure it will last me forever The 1100 was reintroduced because some people liked it more than the 11-87. I don't get it myself, they seem pretty similar! My mate has a 1100 with adjustable stock and all that, but even then if you take them apart they are the same. Some people also say the 11-87 won't cycle 28 gram carts, but that is pretty much all I use, and I can honestly say it is very very reliable. Who knows?!?!? I wouldn't swap either of them now. stu nesling Posted February 12, 2014 Report Share Posted February 12, 2014 now for something a bit different. a franchi made with a mix of benelli/beretta parts and from a company bought out by the beretta group a long time ago. gas operated 12g semi weighing under 7lb! 6lb 12oz to be exact. it has a rotating bolt like a benelli and takes the mobil chokes. also have a black actioned franchi 712 auto in the cabinet. sold a franchi 912 3.5 auto a while ago as it was not getting used. i still have the black composite stock and forend for the 912 and they are used on this gun during the winter. love my gas auto's Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I'd be petrified to go shooting with anything new or in pristine condition for fear of putting a mark on it and worrying about what it looks like!
