wymberley
It's real and called a MacNab 32g GameOver. If you look carefully you'll see the sg shot is for deer, the odd number 6 for partridge which of course just leaves the trout to be caught using the fishing lead. Class! FatherandSon
Guys, this is my post from the Airgun Forum, this indeed what I found when I cut open the Eley Impax. I was asked by Eley to take the box to Bagnall & Kirkwood, where Alan (the owner IIRC) cut another open in front of me and also found a mixture of shot sizes and qualities. He was gob smacked and said there used to be quality issues with Eley when they bought their lead from Spain but these had now been sorted. I used to shoot at a rough shoot when I shot a pheasant, when I came to pluck and draw it I found a number of .177 pellets in it, assuming that there had been people shooting our birds with air guns, now Im thinking that the pellets may have come from my gun! Ill let you know what Eley say as soon as they reply.
aris
When did you buy the shells?
HDAV
Lol just seen this Cartridge production at Audley House stopped then, and Eley Kynoch took over our cartridge manufacture. All our Purdey branded game cartridges are made by Eley Hawk and are crafted using quality propellant powers and shot. FatherandSon
They were bought in 2009 at Woods of Swaffham.
Paladin
I don't think that Eley ever bought lead shot from spain, I think that some may have some from Azor when they had a few million to do in a rush. (Azor produce about a thousand tons of good quality lead shot a week) They have had cases and powder from Maxam. I don't think that you have any idea how cartridges are made in volume. That cartridge could not be produced. First of all when setting and running for your first off proof on a loading machine, you scrap the first two boxes (50) to get a consistent sample for proof. I worked there for years and never seen shot like that there. Good luck. They may ignore your request though.
Paladin
On your original post on the airgun forum you say. "a .177 pellet" Now it's "a number of .177 pellets" Google Libelous
