bazzab
Well finally got me motor back and what a day it was too. Weather was amazing. Had a good recce for while then picked my place. Got all set up, pattern out. Sat back and enjoyed the view. Went totally quiet for a good while I was on the verge of packing up when they started appearing. During session a huge flock came over head I picked my bird, tracked and it let shot off. I have no idea how but 2 birds dropped stone dead. Now that's a first for me!!! Little while later 4/5 came in, I left it as late as possible to take shot, picked my bird and dropped it with first barrel even managed to swing to another bird and dropped that with me second barrel. Another 1st for me. Finished day with new PB of 5 birds (I know not massive but not done much with shottie) Ended my greatest day on pigeons yet. Well pleased roll on tomorrow so can gwt out again. yickdaz
nice one a few of them birds look really small, and before a can of worms are opened I know they are all woodies but look small and thin which is unusual with the mild winter, and plenty food around

TIGHTCHOKE
nice one a few of them birds look really small, and before a can of worms are opened I know they are all woodies but look small and thin which is unusual with the mild winter, and plenty food around Perhaps they are young birds and only recently fledged? Mark74
Well done, as other have mentioned - size of bag not important it's enjoying the day! I take more pleasure from small numbers shot by field craft in unfavourable conditions than bigger days when u can't help but succeed
