Hate the stuff with a vengeance :)

However, my son has started drinking it and loves Hills Bros. White Chocolate & Caramel Cappuccino and Mocha Mint Cappuccino.

Only problem is they don't sell it in the UK, last one's cost me £8 for a 1 pound tub off EBay.

However, we're off to the US in December so he'll be filling his backpack with 24 tubs of the stuff! so that should keep him going for a while :D

I've had the cafetiers the stove top alloy espresso makers a bean to cup machine and had loads of coffees. Instants like the Azeera Milicano and rapor but the Nespresso pods beat them all hands down for me. The choice is superb from pure origin coffee to vanilla blends and stand your spoon up strong jet black rocket fuel coffee and everyone tastes fresh.

The Delonghi Lattisima machine I bought makes some cracking lattes if you like milk in your coffee, I like mine black and strong.

Well worth a try if you see them giving tasters out in shops.

Jamaican blue mountain is far to weak for my tastes

Taylors Hot Lava Java every morning, brewed in a cafetiere. Espresso made in a Moka when I have a bit more time.

I bring home beans by Douwe Egberts when I work in Holland and a range of small producer's beans when I work in the USA.

I certainly see the appeal in pods like Nespresso etc. but hate the price. I did use a Keurig in the USA that had third party refillable pods and that might be a route I try if I ever have the money to splash on that sort of thing, or indeed the counter space in the kitchen.

One upmanship bud. Lot of it on here :)

Don't know why you say its one upmanship as what one like some others don't, we all have differing wants in a coffee and machine or no maker at all. Never thought of one being snobbier than another but that's just me and my tastes.

And what has hard got to do with tastes in coffee strength.

Money don't come into it, pods are as little as 29p so it's not breaking the bank to have a cup or two a day.

How did you all get hooked up on random sorts of coffee? Most of the above I've never even heard of. Did you get given one by someone to try or did you all become coffee addicts by chance or what.

Tried quite a few working abroad and on holidays. But most of the ones I've tasted lately came in a selection discovery box of different Nespresso pods. Ordered the box to try them and see what we as a family like best to then order the most liked ones.

Fine Coffee Club do Nespresso compatible capsules @ 19p(ish) bit thicker foil on the top but flavours are ok (I'm a Nespresso +1 btw!)

My claim to poshest coffee is that the very nice gentelman who writes and looks after our software system at work also has a farm in Nicaragua and has grown a crop of coffee for the first time this year - so this year I have been lucky enough to have some first cropped beans which has been owner grown, harvested, roasted and ground, delivered by hand from Nicaragua to me! (The flavour is quite good as well - next years will probably be better I'm told!)

Beat that for one-upmanship   :good:
