yickdaz
we have been getting our recent bags off one particular farm, I,m sure there will be others on here who have a similar setup, where the farmer has a big block of land next to the farm then about 20 fields dotted about all over the place some fields 3 miles away from the farm anyhow it seems the pigeons want to go on his particular fields with other stubbles in the area its uncanny, we have shot 5 different fields of his in the last 5 days out and everyone has produced a bag ranging from 50 up to a 100, today no different with 54 woodies and 6 ferals long may it continue all this talk recently of Angels, floaters landers or Thingybobs, I decided to make a few by modifying some home made cradles they worked very well only one of them in the pic Edited September 13, 2014 by yickdaz

JDog
I call what you have experienced a 'sweet spot'. This can be a farm, a field or even a certain place in a field where the pigeons just want to be. Good going by the way.
aga man
Another decent bag of pigeons there daz. There must be seed on the stubbles, so perhaps your farmers combine is leaving a bit behind

Wilts#Dave
Great run of sport, it's amazing how some farms/land always seem to produce the numbers yet other patches in the same area growing the same crops don't!
JDog
There is a 1,000 acre estate not a mile from my house with hardly any pigeon activity on it at all. This despite the fact that it is a mixed farm with a wide variety of arable crops grown and an impressive lot of woodland. This spring I tried to get steveyg on to it but failed. It wouldn't have been much good in the event. Two miles in the opposite direction lies a farm with lots of pigeons on it. I have rarely seen a bird travelling between the two places.
