Subaru_sti5
Have we seen evidence of said cabinet yet? I would be interested to see what it looks like and it may help someone give you a better idea how to get into it!

jimmyb79
Its you lot building it up into something big! I just came on to say I had a locked cabinet I couldn't get into! I would wrench it open, but I'm thinking if I can cut through the locks, I'll have another usable cabinet and space for another 5 guns....you know where i'm coming from! Having hacksawed as much as I can, it does have steel rollers through the bolts - I'm guessing the cutting disc will get through those - and probably burn my house down in the process! strangford wildfowler
Cheers guys, just need to find an angle grinder! Failing that, the hacksaw blade might have to do. I'd just cut a big chunk out of it with an angle grinder and see what's inside
jimmyb79
I'd just cut a big chunk out of it with an angle grinder and see what's inside Problem with that will be the Sparks. The cabinet is in a cupboard in our bedroom, about 2 feet away from the bed and carpet on floor. I'll have a go with a thin disc tomorrow and if that fails, will drill a hole and chuck the bore scope in it!
wymberley
This is starting to remind me of the story of my father, his dog, the local pebble bed heath, some telephone cable, the local rogue, a safe, the Sadlers Arms and the police. Not to mention the fact that we haven't heard from the OP since Page3; I wonder how he got on.
grrclark
Why would you not put the bore scope in first, a thin disk will still generate loads of sparks. Get the borescope in there man and let us know what's in that safe........
jimmyb79
The wait is finally over - I believe Tightchoke was closest with his prediction of a massive anticlimax! Hole drilled and borescope in - totally empty! Nevermind, maybe I'll find a nice english sidelock in my next house!

jimmyb79
Pistol or ammo I'm guessing - its an old gamekeepers cottage, so could well be an old handgun safe
