ayano3
They don't do themselves any favours do they, the Sabs that is. They are the modern equivalent of the football hooligans of days gone by. As Kes mentioned, GBH, or ABH at the very least. And what will they get, a slap on the wrist  I thought they mean you mark.
subsonicnat
While these Saturday thugs, who have probably been driven from the football terraces are traveling with the Hunt: Somebody should be slashing the tyres, so if this sort of thing happens, they cannot go anywhere in a hurry.. nobody carrys 3 spares.? It would be criminal damage doing that,,, LETTING tyres Down is not a criminal offence, again nobody can go anywhere in a hurry.. Make it obvious a time or two and they wouldn`t dare leave the vehicles alone.. JOB DONE:
TimeDrags
Subsonicat - letting tyres down IS criminal damage. Even if the damage is temporary it still amounts to an offence.

guest1957
POLICE Quoted That mate, I didn`t make the rules on it, it is only TEMP so no Harm Done.. Criminal damage includes not only permenant or temporary physical harm but also permenant or temporary impairment of value or usefulness. Plenty of Court authority for the above e.g. Morphitis v Salmon or R v Fiak Edited February 5, 2015 by guest1957
Guest cookoff013
could not a sensible person take a picture of the car licence plates? or tax disc (if there is one...) or you could club together and see and remenber parts of the licence plates? ie one person remembers the first bits then another the second, or someone remembers a single licence plate..... if there main attack is to be un identified..... take it away from them.... if a complaint about saboteurs goes to the police, with a description of the car and a licence plate the cops will put that in the database then they`ll eventually get pulled over... if there is an alledged assault, and they get stopped the police will most likely arrest the driver... or ask them to help with "enquirys"

old man
Very interesting post there Redgum. You aren't allowed to defend yourself without fear of losing your firearms licence... that's surely wrong and dangerous. It's also dangerous in case you get overrun by a group of violent anti's who may use your own weapon against you, or steal it... How far in the court of law are you allowed to go to defend yourself against a group attack like this? I don't feel that there is much advice in the way of stopping it, especially if the police aren't in a rush to head over. Redgum, probably just a natural progression as they are more likely to be picked up on CCtv at a match than out in the countryside? Mentalmac, I think the answer to your question is that you can only defend yourself "in a proportionate way?" So you would have to make a snap decision at the time and almost certainly defend your actions and certificate later in court? The whole justice system is based on the fact that punishment for an offence hinges on the withdrawal of something the person had before? Certificate holder can lose everything? scumbag? has nothing? can lose nothing? I am at a complete loss as to how we are in a situation in this country that to beat the living daylights out of anyone seems to attract very little action of any sort? But get caught by a speed camera OMG you are immediately prosecuted? Could someone please explain? ? ? ?
